Me and my friend are both getting this bug where we put uranium in a reactor and this horribly broken piercing sound plays and makes our ears bleed. Anyone else getting this?
I don't have issues so far with the reactor. Is there a way to turn off the auto jetpack thing? I wanted to make a VVVVV like room, and it works well except for the fact that the auto jetpack ruins it :v:

Im generally just having so much fun playing with my friend. Feel free to join me on "Wickersurvival" Also, reactor bug was just with one instance of a ship..
Sad, sad terrible news. While searching for nickel, my ship ran out of fuel. My refinery didn't start work on the uranium ingots, so i'm stuck in a dying ship about to die. very sad now.
Slap a beacon on it and set to work salvaging it!
Beacons need electricity to run. That said, I hope they tweak fuel consumption a bit in the future, or at least increase uranium spawning. Ships burn through fuel way too fast, even when idling.
I hope they eventually add ship-sized refineries so I can cut large ships into small pieces and just feed the chunks into a big open-pit refinery.

I almost shared this fate, but managed to create enough fuel in my very last minute worth of fuel.
does changing the size or strength of the grav gen change its power consumption?
does changing the size or strength of the grav gen change its power consumption?
not sure if it even draws power, doesn't say a thing in the controll panel of it. [editline]14th March 2014[/editline] how do you visualize the fields? I believe there's a way to do that.
how do you visualize the fields? I believe there's a way to do that.
I think it was Alt+Shift+F12.

for some reason I couldn't get the landing gear to work on that rescue ship you can spawn with in survival. I wanted to have it fastened down on a station platform so i could muck around with it without it flying away every time i walked onto it, but even when the gear goes yellow and I press P, nothing happened. Is this a bug with the new version or did I do something wrong? I had power so I've no idea why it wouldn't work, was a bit frustrating.

Slowly getting ourselves in there.. [t]http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/3298065097997350004/B5E5C40C2D9A7961399F206109DF278C4B6069E0/[/t] Nearly in. multiplayer still seems to die when with more than 2 players. I hope next updates focuses on getting multiplayer to work smoothly with multiple players.
I absolutely love the way they got the construction down, if you need a small mining ship that gets you from point A to B, you can keep all the armor blocks at like 1 HP and fly something that looks more like a scaffolding than a ship, but if you actually need them to work as armor, you better get all them steel plates

One or two people lagged a little but no one was complaining so it can't of been that bad. Can't wait for dedicated servers. Repairing works wonderfully too - I was always skeptical of whether repairing block would ever work.
Interestingly I have figured out why we have conveyers, please do forgive me if this was painfully obvious though, it seems anything that produces can move them items down the chain if the interaction boxes are touching each other.

Must be new functionality. Now we just need some sort of hopper.
That's actually really cool. Must be new functionality. Now we just need some sort of hopper.
and a way to eject the contents of a cotainer outside. That way you can just fly over a hopper with your mining unit, drop all the shit and barrel on with mining. [editline]14th March 2014[/editline] Is there a way to speed up refineries? they seem to be very slow.
I remember when people were afraid Keen was going to abandon this game or not put effort into it. I think they've done amazing so far with how responsive and connected they are to the community.
I think now they're obliged to make ship mounted welders and grinders. Imagine it - a recycling station that you feed a ship into and with no extra effort, poops out ingots.
oh dear god, I alt tabbed while in steam overlay, and when I went back my ship started spinning like crazy on the background while deep inside a small cave of an asteroid. You can't imagine how much I panicked seeing that thing soar just along the walls while I was trying to stop it. It somehow didn't take any damage :v:
