Any idea how to structure conveyor blocks? I have the hatches lined up between a refinery, a conveyor, and an assembler, but the refined ore just stays in the refinery. Does it need gravity too or something?

I think they accidentally added an extra "0" to reactor component requirements for small reactors The small ship version is fine, you need one reactor component, but stations/large ships? 100, what the fuck And each reactor component takes 5 silver ingots to build, that's insane.
I hope they like triple the speed of the refinery for everything but the basic stuff like iron which already is fast (although it could have double the speed). at the moment it literally takes ages to process some stuff, especially uranium. Maybe my experience with it is different because my world generated an ore-rich asteroid, but the only time I ever needed to change the mode to get materials was when I scaled up production to build a large ship. Otherwise, for the purpose of processing materials for repairs and upgrades to my mining dinghy (beacon, ore detector), realistic was sufficient.
Is something up with me? I can only hold 400 liters but i should be able to hold much more?
yeah, everyone needs their own medical room. As long as a person has a working medical room to himself on a server, he should automatically respawn there instead of a new rescue vessel. You sure he had a powered medical room to spawn at when he died?

The only solution is to connect the refinery directly with the assembler.

On my way back to my ship from my asteroid hangar I noticed a bunch of tiny dents in the side armor. I didn't understand why but I went about fixing the dents and checking over the whole ship. I'm running a 3x Survival and having absolutely no problems, got a huge stack of ores, a mining ship, small station and a ton of fuel to last quite a long time. Never tried the Asteroids scenario so I'm not sure if the problem is due to the start.

refining uranium is insane, because of how long it takes and how few ingots you get, while the refinery itself takes a tonne of fuel to power feels like I'm using 1/2 the uranium I make just powering the refinery
I don't think refining uranium is that bad. 1KG of uranium ingots is enough to fuel the rescue vessel for about 1~ hour, while maybe around 10~ minutes can yield 1-2KG ingots of uranium [editline]15th March 2014[/editline] while not moving of course, only using assembler, refiner, grav gen, lights and being on standby with thrusters
I'm hoping for some netcode tweaks in the next update, I'm playing with a friend from the US and we're having tons of fun, but it's EXTREMELY laggy, ships look more like they're teleporting around rather than flying.

That's a really cool feature.

I love the look of the scaffolds but it's very tedious to use the grinder to deconstruct light armor blocks. :v:
my biggest complaint regarding survival must be the required reactor components for a large ship reactor. 100 components is insane, and in this pace it'll take at least an hour of refining before I got everything I need
I kinda feel like I shouldn't even start building another vessel. I'm just modifying the rescue ship. It's a great base for a proper - though small - mining vessel. And obviously I made a portable little drill shuttle that attaches onto its back. [editline]16th March 2014[/editline] Also it's incredible how big the special parts needed for (large) beacons are. With only the tools in my inventory, I can carry [b]one[/b] at a time. And it needs, what, thirty?
I feel like the Realistic mode was made with multiplayer in mind, you can still get shit done but it'll take a really long time, it's much faster with even two people building stuff or even carrying components. If you're playing solo you're better off using the 3x or 10x modes. And I'm hoping they'll add some real hazards soon, like solar flares or micrometeorite showers, it's kinda boring if energy is all you have to worry about :v:

I need 65 more components, which means I'll have to idle for 3 hours before it's done. that's just insane

If the reactor uses up all its fuel without you noticing, you wouldn't be able to refine more uranium to fuel it :v [editline]16th March 2014[/editline] Oh yeah you can change the game's options from the load menu, change it to x10 for a while, build the reactor then set it back to normal :v:

They could have a workshop flag for pirate vessels that lets people submit ships for pirates to use, and a game dev or workshop admin would add the workshop file ID with a number for rarity to a list somewhere that the pirates draw from. Crowdsourcing AI enemies would be great in a game like this.
