Space Engineers - Say goodbye to Starmade and Blockade runner.

I went into one of those cargo pods while rayven was flying the ship, and when he grabbed it shit started vibrating and exploding all over the place :v:
works fine with no one in them though, it's just the clients fighting eachother
So what the fuck is going on with my game?

I tried to play survival with some friends, and the asteroids would render from a distance, but not from up close. If I can manage to hit them with my hand drill they will render in a small square around where I hit.
can I expect my game to run to at least 20fps on low?

On the right is the recommended settings, on the left is my specs. I'm asking here because half the time, recommended settings are usually horseshit.

Actually I don't shit about CPUs really. It says I have a dual core when it asks for quad core. So i'm assuming I have about half the processing power.
jesus, don't count on it
the game does run pretty well though, it's not horribly optimised or anything
This game is fun, but I'm utter shit at it.
Today I learnt the hard way that online settings are stored in the save data. I was using two computers to do a video, and had it on public because the steam overlay wasn't working. I re-loaded the map to add some stuff on one computer and didn't notice anyone joining. 20 minutes in, a red ship comes out of nowhere and obliterates everything. He was called marko_matt. I will have vengeance.

I can't sleep and think I'm just going to work on resetting my sleep schedule, so I'm going to be staying up all night. I think mindlessly making things in this game will be a good way to keep me going without realizing how long it has been.
If anyone wants to join me, add me on Steam.

Of course, now it decides to be the most unstable game I've ever seen.
Just found a big bug that crashes my game.
Apparently if you take the slope block on a surface it can be placed on and try to stack it in a direction that it would normally just not place the stacked blocks and only the first one (like it used to), the game crashes. Fucking bullshit, that's something I do all the time accidentally but now it will just crash my game when I make a mistake.
I'm going to have to take a big hiatus until this gets fixed.
Does anyone have advice for drilling materials? Materials constantly fly off into space as I dig making it hard to gather them. I was literally thinking of making a bucket platform to catch them.
Overview of my Multi Functional Cargo System (MFTS) ships along with their Modular Cargo Pods (MCP's). Only two MCP's currently exist (need ideas for more) A Rescue MCP, designed for survival, rescue and retrieval operations at remote locations, comes in variations supporting life support for 4, 8 and 12 people. And also a Cargo MCP for rapid cargo transfer, the idea being that groups of MFTS's would work together to pick up and drop off Cargo MCP's from mining facilities to refining facilities.

I'm happy with my designs, although there is a problem that the craft pulls down when flying forward when carrying a MCP (thus not really making it viable for being a kinetic bomber) Although I would like more ideas for the MCPS (currently until gravity affects blocks that have no thrusters etc etc the landing gear is kind of essential to be able to dock, though stylistically i'd rather not have them)
I made something similar to that a while ago as a large ship. Its way more controllable and doesnt pitch around if you build engine pods with thrusters on both sides of the cargo bay.
Just tried it, it still pitches forward, I think I'll leave it since its not too uncontrollable.
Found an unattended ship, took things.

That has got to be the most awesome ship I've seen.
I remember you posting it a couple pages back. I still can't wrap my head around how that works exactly.

I'm glad they added multiplayer, because this would be impossible without two keyboards.

Hey, I just found and bought this game. Is there a list anywhere to find multiplayer servers? I understand there isn't official match-making yet.

There aren't any multiplayer servers, as such, only client hosted, which shows a list ingame.

If they add control through rotors and in-ship programming, then this very well might be the case.
So I was looking through really old STALKER screenshots, from the time they were still undecided on the concept and look what I found. Space Stalker Engineers!

So I just crash-froze my pc with space engineers again with a forced restart to do anything.
All my steam window positions and sizes were reset, and just now I noticed that steam says that space engineers and star trek online are not installed.
Probably a stupid question, but how do you only take x amount of a component out of a container. Can't work it out for the life of me (if it is possible at all).

Drag it to your inventory with right mouse button
Right click the item, then when you left click to place it again, it will ask how much of it to place.

Controls wonderfully, cargo is at the exact center of mass. A bit slow, but doesnt pitch at all.

If I saw that thing coming for me in a multiplayer server I'm pretty sure I would scream and then head in the completely opposite direction.
or hop in a simple small fighter and blow off the arms.

not thats its not horrifying, I did in fact shit myself.
