The fact they actually took a look at themselves and realised what went wrong and how to fix it makes these guys pretty good devs.
Not many devs do that.
Uh...
Yes they do? Postmortems are standard in every game company. Every company makes them after every game.
Its following through that counts.
To be honest, I don't give much of a shit about Star Citizen, it's all about Elite: Dangerous for me.

I meant that they did so publically; you are right about the following through bit though.
Alright it's the 23rd now where is it.
I don't think it's due to appear on Steam until after noon sometime.

Unless you live in California, I get to wake up to it
I would be having so much more fun if they added some simple AI module that would just thrust a ship forward while i can sit in a other ship.
I want to redo that scene from the trailer where this guy walks over the bridge while a ship rams into it. It looked incredible.

Get in, disable all thrusters except rear thrusters, get out.

Also, is there some way to 'mod' the max speed of a Large Ship?
You would be able to recreate it with some planning. Make a large ship with an open back, in the open back stick your command module. Get the ship to max speed, press Y, and since the back is open you will fall out. . Now here the hard part. At the moment you get out of the ship there should be a small ship near you that you can use to catch up the the large ship. Fly past it, get into ship that is going to be impacted a few miles away. Make sure it is sucky enough to get slammed thru in one go.
You can do this by removing the supportive beams on the blue ship, as they will slow down the ramming ship alot. you should leave only the bridge.
So my ship ended up weighing only 9000000 kg AKA 9000 tonnes (not fully done inside, but still). What a let down, we really need those heavy armour blocks.
For those of us building gargantuan monstrosities :v:

They're also working on making the game fully 64-bit compatible, meaning making the SDSD Freudian Nightmare might be a real (although tedious) possibility.

Dear god
- increased maximum jet-pack speed from 3.4 m/s to 5.7 m/s (8 m/s diagonally)
Best update ever! Think it should be still as fast as running :/

Oh yeah, that tool. It can also be used to increase the memory page file of KSP.
Also, here is my strange mining ship thing.

Eve 1:1 Revelation GO.

pffft, you could as well go as big as possible right away :v:

[sp]the revelation atleast is doable compared to this 13km or something monster[/sp]
Got bored of working on the big black wang of a spaceship; it's basically finished anyway until the items that don't currently work start working. Going to work on a big green wang instead :v:

That thing looks like a mushroom.
To be fair, the concept of Star Citizen is so incredibly overambitious that it seems unlikely they'll live up to it to the degree everyone wants it to.
Not saying it will be bad, but I'd rather not hype it up considering there's no chance it'll live up to what they're saying.
Though I too have some doubts about the game being as fully featured as they claim, you do have to remember that this is the same guy who did Freelancer and Wing Commander. This guy knows his shit, and he has never pulled a Molyneux before, so I think him living up to the promise (for the most part) is the more likely scenario. Especially considering he wants this game to happen as badly as we do.
SDSD Freudian Nightmare
I lol'd. On a side note, Freud would have gone crazy over the concept of e-peen.

horse cock
This is the arse-end of my new ship. It's not going to have side engines like my others, but it'll be shaped more like Destiny from SG:U, though i'm definitely not aiming to replicate that. It'll be rather smaller and more compact than my other ship. It'll also have no fighter bay, as it'll be designed strictly for ship-to-ship combat, and will hopefully be more manoeuvrable. Trying to keep excess interior space to a minimum.

No nacelles with easily-destructible hard points connecting them to the hull?
Blasphemy.
No nacelles with easily-destructible hard points connecting them to the hull?
Blasphemy.
My very first ship had lovely nacelles that sheared off easily in collisions, and was quite fun to do so. This ship will be a design that I actually use in MP/survival (though probably not as my first ship), so i'm aiming to make it more practical and less "Hit the giant weak spot to destroy" sort of thing.
What's confirmed for version due for release today?
Anything new or will it just be publicly available.

If i wasn't at work i'd grab the Youtube video of the Rev/Avatar being imported into crysis at a 1:1 scale (spoiler holy shit they're massive.)

I'm not sure if we'll see another patch today.
I'm not sure if we'll see another patch today.
I wouldn't put it past them, they've been surprisingly speedy with the patches. Either that, or i've gotten used to a lot of other devs not giving a shit about their games.
