Oh fuck, I really like that design and color scheme. I mean, not that the color scheme is "super unique", but it looks so simple and clean and befits the design well.
If I build a line of connectors set to draw everything in, will they all get equal amounts? I'm trying to set up a way to split ores so they all go to multiple refineries.
has anyone else had the problem with glass windows glitching yet?
I've had a lot of problems getting them to work with symmetry and some of the angled pieces are just mislabeled or missing. i'll take some pictures of the weirdness later.

The most common issues I have is that sometimes I'll be trying to place in a inner corner piece, and the game decides that the block is occupied by another piece of glass, so I have to remove random adjacent pieces until it lets me place the inner corner. Really annoying.
I hope they can fix mining in multiplayer soon, slows the game down to crawl for my friends and I.
Filming Space Police 2: Galactic Boogaloo
They should add a 2 block solid corner piece like the glass one, I want to be able to place down ramps and have the corners filled in with solid pieces instead of glass.

Can we expect some sweet tunes from Grum again?

It's your computer/connection.
This doesn't happen to everyone so try to stop blaming it on the devs. Sure the netcode isn't perfect but multiplayer isn't their main focus right now - well it shouldn't be anyway..

Probably not, since I would like to monetize the vid. Sorry :c
It will have some sweet tunes by me tho!

Well, we all gotta get food on the table.
I'm still very hyped.
Are you able to place blocks on the asteroids? Because I cant' seem too and that makes building an asteroid base kinda difficult. I figured you could, since the pre-made maps have it.

unless it's changed in the last patch, yeah you can
only station blocks though

Can you build normal blocks on those station blocks? Also how do I get station blocks? They don't appear on my list of things to build. I think I hit survival mode on accident when messing with the world gen options, haha.

if you're not terribly attached to the save you're playing on it'll be easiest to just start a new world in creative and play around with that
in survival station blocks are the same as normal large ship blocks but I haven't played around with them in creative in quite some time, but IIRC they were built from the g key menu

In the meantime, my radiators shall block out the sun!

That immediately reminded me of that source engine short series based on that ship, Clear Skies. :v:

you should grind up some parts so they look like girders.
why are you using the old model? the new temp is grorius

AMD FX-8350
AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB
16GB 1600Mhz Ram
20Mbps Down/5Mbps Up
The FPS doesn't drop, the game physically slows down, which I assume is because the server is trying to calculate how the rocks behave. I'm pretty sure most of these issues will be fixed when we have dedicated server software.
I'm not attacking/blaming the devs. I'm simply pointing out that this is an issue, and I hope they can fix it soon.

I'd like to also jump on this bandwagon.
i7 3770k
GTX660Ti 3GB
16GB 1600Mhz RAM
256GB Samsung 840 PRO
115/25Mbit connection
All clients on my server lag. They are moving/twitching at like maybe half the speed of me. It's nothing with my PC or connection, it's 100% either netcode from what I can tell, it just is processing so much physics information and is extremely inefficient that with 3 or more players they are at a near crawl. I can move around full speed, no problems, but ALL clients are moving veeeeery slow and I can't seem to do anything about it.
edit: Come play with me in my lag in Woovie's Survival ;;;)
edit2: How can I remove all these rocks? :v

I am getting some crazy FPS spikes, I blame rocks.
Mayaswell jump in..
i7 4700MQ
GTX 765M
8gb DDR (not sure of speed)
WD 750gb 7200rpm
I've only ever had connection problems with one friend, but that's because he was on on awful connection. Even with loads of mining going on, loads of spawn ships floating about and a room full of loose rocks, no lag with my other friend who had a decent connection.
Out of everyone I thought I'd be worse off, being on laptop hardware and all.
I hope when they launch the dedicated server update they have some admin tools. Like being able to remove anything anyone spawned or placed.
Okay, I've solved it!

Look at Physics step time
Top is inside the gravity field
Bottom is when I'm inside the pilot seat and it's not calculating any changes. Because those rocks are in the gravity field, it's making it lag. As soon as I turned off gravity the lag disappeared.
Edit: More proofs.

Edit2: Well that's not 100% the issue, but it fixed it mostly.
I'm really disappointed that they still haven't fixed the gravity generator/artificial mass displacement bug. Gravlevs are literally unusable due to that and terrestrial vehicles eventually become unstable and roll over on their own.
I started a creative game with asteroids set to cataclysm.
It's fucking impossible to build anything. Armageddon must be a constant stream of rocks hitting everything
I like to build in creative on cataclysm mode with a few turrets around, it adds a little ambience and eye candy

I didn't know turrets auto kill meteors. Sure is better than the giant shield I built around my ship
Holy memory leak.
The game's memory usage skyrocketed in the space of about 5 minutes to using 92% of my 16gb of RAM when I was grinding stuff in multiplayer.
