Oh you're the one who built that ship. My friend absolutely loves the thing.
Everything in SE is secretly built by Squeegy.
Everything in SE is secretly built by Squeegy.
Gosh, spoiler tag that man.
I cant really put my finger on this game, not beginner freindly at all. Is it a facepunch server i can join?
Love the bottle opener. Can it open ships?
As it turns out, it can't. It's great for giant bottles though.
What do you guys play more often? Survival or Creative? Also, my cousin is hosting a server but it's laggy as shit, there's also a message on the top right corner "No direct connection available".
We used the blue ship for target practice with our MG boats, sawed it in half and then sewed it back together. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LrLAiDs.jpg[/t] An hour later, it looked like this. [t]http://i.imgur.com/wTP3d6s.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/IYUCnDs.jpg[/t]

Yeah it's from the AAA modpack
Yeah it's from the AAA modpack
Qoestion on modpacks how stable are they do problems arise when copy pasting to others games and such and updates?
I haven't had any issues with the big modpack, we played just fine in MP for hours.
I haven't had any issues with the big modpack, we played just fine in MP for hours.
Ill back up my game content ant try these out kinda want to make a quarentined install just for mods anyone have ideas on how to make that work easily?(I am not great with computers)

I have a save where I used a lot of custom blocks, I'm still able to load up the save, however there are empty places where there were custom blocks.
Has anyone thought of AP rounds to go through heavy armor? I made a small working one that went through 3-4 layers of heavy armor but was very hard to fire. Speaking of which, what about a missile turret that fires gravity powered rounds/missiles?
I've been trying to make a workable turret that fires miniaturized torpedoes, the biggest challenge so far is having the gravity generators in line with the launchers and not taking up a metric fuckton of space [t]http://i.imgur.com/l68OkIY.jpg[/t] It's kinda working, aside from the part where it tends to pull forward and rip itself to bits when the gravity generators are activated unless you undock the munitions in advance
Wait... can you aim the torpedoes with the mouse?
Game is 33% off right now, I'm tempted as hell but I'll curse myself if it's cheaper down the line. Do you guys think it will be reduced in the future or should I grab it now? On a side note I won't be able to play it for a while so I'm not in a hurry to get it.

I play survival when I want to pretend I'm a dude leeching off of asteroids and captured ships in order to survive. I've played plenty of both, because there's something oddly fun about designing a ship to intercept others and putting it together component-by-component, but if I actually want to design something, I almost always go creative.
Wait... can you aim the torpedoes with the mouse?
Sorta, if by aiming with the mouse you mean orienting your entire launch platform with the mouse

Because now its a incomplete early access game, in the future when its "complete" they could just as well sell it for something like 40-60$. Don't know if they will though.
Sorta, if by aiming with the mouse you mean orienting your entire launch platform with the mouse
No I mean you can adjust the grav gen right? So you can slightly change projectiles' trajectories [editline]29th June 2014[/editline] gimme the save gimme gimme [editline]29th June 2014[/editline] Wait a minute... since when are mass blocks affected by its own ship's grav gens?
Alright I bought it, now I just need a computer to play it on!

Are gravity drives more cost-effective and/or fuel-efficient than thrusters?
buying this truly is something to never regret made a base with a grid based conveyor system and a bunch of "Micro ships" that are bare bones and small, with merging block in the front so they are interchangable man this game is amazing it does need a grav gun type tool however, to at least assist in moving heavy things that are deactivated. Having your merge block attachments fly off is shit
Are gravity drives more cost-effective and/or fuel-efficient than thrusters?
Somewhat they allow insane acceleration (105m/s in some instances) they also allow for some interesting things like tight turns at max speed and alot more performance in a much smaller package than a load of thrusters.I have never tested power usage. [editline]29th June 2014[/editline] They also allow you to break the speed limit.
iirc the game doesn't actually allow you to break the speed limit. Which really does suck :c
You can break it while under acceleration, that's good enough for me [editline]Hyenas[/editline] I wouldn't mind the limit being a little higher, though
So you can connect rotors to each other using component blocks.
Are gravity drives more cost-effective and/or fuel-efficient than thrusters?
In material cost I'd say they're a better acceleration solution, but obviously you'll still want maneuvering thrusters. Not sure about their energy cost comparison.

Also, it would be great if there was a mod that removed the speed cap.
