I wonder if this game will at any point, feature an oxygen system, they really have the physics engine for it. Like imagine a hole in one of those stations causing all the floor blocks to slowly be pulled out of the floor (Depending on how small the hole is) and the hole accidentally pulls a smaller ship up to the ceiling with great force causing an even larger breach. I mean it would just look really cool, and would lead to some awesome scenarios.
as awesome as this looks I feel kinda sad for the other space games like blockade runner that will probably be massacred by this. I know ZanMgt (especially Zach) fairly well and they're a bunch of super cool and super nice people. I feel bad for them :c

It would be cool to find crew members in a made ship doing their daily routine so I can 'accidentally' sabotage the power reactors and watch the ship go down in flames like FTL or Centration in a third perspective.
I can't find it but I could have sworn that it comes with an o2 system
I thought there wouldn't be one because they figured the players would very rarely if ever take off their helmets, if they implemented it
Finding this game made me so happy. I've been waiting for this game my entire life. I can't wait for it's release and further updates.
When asked about the EVA suits an whether players could take them off they said they are considering that possibility which leads to me thinking that they may implement oxygen in the future. I really hope, since its Space Engineers, that the game ha plenty of physics in place to enforce practicality in the designs. Sorry but if all your thrusters are 1km to he left of the centre of mass your ship should just spin wildly. [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] Don't want to see any more 16x16x16 shitfuck deathcubes with every inch covered in weapons that handle like a fighter.

All it'd take is some serious backend tinkering on rotationary shit and whatnot. Besides, I just want to build my gaping mouth ship to eat other smaller ships.

I have a feeling all my ships are just going to look like flying axe heads. Ramming other ships in half seems way too fun to pass up.
I have a feeling all my ships are just going to look like flying axe heads. They aren't attached anymore to themselves by invisible powers. This is awesome!
I quite like the look of this game. Is there any price tag on it at the moment?
I quite like the look of this game. Is there any price tag on it at the moment?
Well, it's in the OP, you could just read it. 14,99 $
Well, it's in the OP, you could just read it. 14,99 $
You know, if you're gonna point me to the OP you might aswell read it yourself. There is no price listed there.
You know, if you're gonna point me to the OP you might aswell read it yourself. There is no price listed there.
Oh, you are totally right. Youtube comment that I read when I found this topic, blended in with OP, as the description was so similar. Dev responded to someone with similar stuff you can see in the last line + the price tag. Sorry for that.

Such a pain in the ass to reformat it all though.. It was surprisingly tedious to find the actual Image URLs seen as the whole site is in java or something. [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] I'll do it once I'm actually awake.
Just click reply for the OP and copy the missing text from the quoted stuff.
OP FIXED - BRING BACK TABLE FORMATTING DAMMIT
Theoretically, with proper thruster placement, they should be able to handle however you want. Besides, I just want to build my gaping mouth ship to eat other smaller ships.
the issue is that you simply can't have proper thruster placement if the thrusters are locked to a voxel grid - mass distribution will mean this will only reliably be possible if you build a perfectly (mass) symmetrical ship, which isn't fun at all because the center of mass is not locked to the voxel grid and it also seems thrusters are the same, to balance something would mean tweaking the actual thrust values hopefully, at least for main (forward flight) thrusters, these are set automatically starmade has it so that thrusters increase speed and maneuverability - no matter their position and so on corneroids has it the hardest way, in that it is up to you to balance the center of mass near perfectly or build symmetrically something like this would be good: apologies for mspaint diagram blue dot represents center of mass, orange means a thruster the left ship has no way of thrusting in a straight line, plain and simple the right ship has offcenter, unsymmetrical thrusters, but the game could adjust the left thruster's power so that it supplies the equivalent moment of torque (I suppose it's torque?), balancing the overall thrust so the ship goes nice and straight (note that it'd go faster if both thrusters were going full blast, but it'd be spinning to the right) obviously the thrusters could only do the best they can, within their limits
I hope it's works that way - having it work otherwise could limit ship designs greatly. If it runs liek starmade however it will be equally as annoying. I'm sure they'll be changing everything ove the course of it's development though.

Shearing off thrusters so it can't fly straight (or at least not very well at all), severing energy connections to weapons etc.

I spend way too much time on these block based construction game
So that's what the BF3 torch evolved to.
So that's what the BF3 torch evolved to.
From fixing tanks to fabricating spaceships. Certainly moved up in the world.
Op updated with System Requirements - just announced. [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] also, information on modding just released too. Rejoice! [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] Oh 2 new screens. [editline]15th October 2013[/editline] Holy shit I'm too excited for this.
This looks insanely fun
