can someone make a steam workshop file of the nuke because im literally retarded and cant get it working myself
I'm kind of new at this, I bought the game awhile ago but lost interest. Now I'm back and am really enjoying the survival game mode. I started a single player game, is it possible to save the map and use it for coop with a friend?
You can change the settings of the save in the "load" menu. It's pretty straightforward from there. I think your action groupings may be reset when you do though. I happened to me, at least.

Your friends will be able to join you. Maybe you can even do it while in-game? I honestly can't remember.
can someone make a steam workshop file of the nuke because im literally retarded and cant get it working myself
build it exactly like this and put 2000 explosives in the crate.
I say we make robots like these on a platform with a gravity generator So if a robot flungs one out of the arena, it just drifts in space indefinitely Robot Wars in Space
LGS, Sage and Tazoo tried that, lets just say there was much rapid unplanned dissasembly and it soon devolved into chaos.
LGS, Sage and Tazoo tried that, lets just say there was much rapid unplanned dissasembly and it soon devolved into chaos.
That was because of the rotor instability, which was fixed, but then they changed back those changes and rotors are not stable in mp again.
Is it just me or the multiplayer netcode is FUBAR? Everything just spazz out and twerking harder than Miley Cyrus every time i touch something
Is it just me or the multiplayer netcode is FUBAR? Everything just spazz out and twerking harder than Miley Cyrus every time i touch something
they had a netcode which made everything sync up properly, causing zero issues with rotors. Downside was that clientside movement was completely gone so moving around was a pure hell. They then went back to the client side netcode with terrible rotors.
They should just get rid of the small ship/large ship thing and instead let us choose the size of the block we want to place, so that we could attach small blocks to large ones and vice versa, I'm pretty sure someone made a mod like that, too
I'd rather they were kept separate, combining the two would be ugly as shit also large and small ships have different behaviour/physics to optimise them for how they are used
So I set out to build another battleship this one even bigger than the Sgriosach I was basing it roughly off of this http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Birmingham-class I havnt even got 10% into the build and its 43m KG. Not sure if I should bother finishing it or move onto carriers and frigates like I was planning.
I'd rather they were kept separate, combining the two would be ugly as shit also large and small ships have different behaviour/physics to optimise them for how they are used
No they don't, what are you talking about? They've got different thrust and gyro levels, sure, but just keep the large/small thrusters and gyros the way they are and it will all sort itself out.
No they don't, what are you talking about? They've got different thrust and gyro levels, sure, but just keep the large/small thrusters and gyros the way they are and it will all sort itself out.
the devs said themselves in that recent interview that they were separate for reasons which included engine reasons so krail is totally right.
No they don't, what are you talking about? They've got different thrust and gyro levels, sure, but just keep the large/small thrusters and gyros the way they are and it will all sort itself out.
the main thing is that players can walk on large blocks without pushing it out of the way, this isn't just a question of mass, you can try it with a 5x5 plate of small blocks (which weighs the same as a large block) or even a 5x5x5 cube, which weighs far more than a large block its a necessary compromise to allow players to run around and bounce off the walls without moving the ship, while allowing small ships to be pushed around fairly realistically the different thrusters and gyros will not just 'sort itself out' because its totally unbalanced a 5^3 grid of small small reactors is 3 times more powerful than a single large small reactor and the same configuration in large reactors is nearly 5 times more powerful and the same goes for gyros and thrusters. this means that there's no reason to use large stuff and everyone's large ships will be laggy, monstrosities with 100x more components than they'd otherwise have
Then just allow players to tick or untick the option 'Pushable by players' in the same menu where you make a station into a ship. Is there any particular reason why the balance can't be fixed?
Then just allow players to tick or untick the option 'Pushable by players' in the same menu where you make a station into a ship.
true but it's a pretty ugly fix don't you think
Is there any particular reason why the balance can't be fixed?
how would you balance it? if you made the large components better, they would be overpowered in the context of large ships since the blocks are less dense, and large ships would be too agile if you make the densities the same ie make the large blocks heavier, you will get the same problem I said in the last post but with blocks - small blocks are far better because the walls of your large ship can just be 1 small block wide, making the whole ship lighter therefore cheaper to run and more agile (having a large ship made from small blocks is bad in gameplay and lag terms) conversely if you make the small blocks lighter then small ships will be insanely agile
I don't think anyone thinking they should make block types homogenous has thought long enough about it (or thought about why they're separate in the first place).
Solution: Make small ship sized large ship grade parts that you can only put on large ships. They'd have scaled stats to large ship parts, but be the size of small ship bits. Don't make power reactors and nonsense like that either. Just blocks and windows and such to help with making interiors and greebles.
Small blocks for fiddly bits would be nice, it's kind of a pain working out fiddly bits with giant 2.5 meter cubes to work with
I just want to build this kinda stuff in a non annoying way

My Modular fighter, in its Sword Interceptor configuration. [thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/38594845363322830/6F7B82F76A0DCA7D560B0DCFEF38809A0A8A2C63/[/thumb] It currently has another configuration (not pictured) Codenamed Hammer Assault, which replaces the guns with missle launchers and is meant for quick attacks on large ships or bases. Pros: Quick acceleration in the forward direction, able to reach maximum velocity in 8 seconds from a standstill. Decently Armored, able to withstand lots of gatling gun impacts. Thanks to its 4 guns it quickly tears through small ships. Detachable armament pods means that they can be dumped, if neccesary or swapped with fresh, fully loaded replacements or an entirely new configuration. Fold away landing gear. Cons: Sluggish acceleration in directions other than forwards One or two well placed rockets will take this thing out. Its 4 Guns are fairly spread apart so on smaller craft aiming is key, although filling the skies with lead is a helpful intimidation factor even if you don't hit them. The ammo storage is kinda low, requiring a RTB if engaged in a longer term firefight, although the side containers can carry extra ammo for quick in the field resupply, though this is an interceptor so isn't meant for long term engagements. Landing gear is somewhat vulnerable and easily broke by bullets, with a tendancy to get shot off, though this isn't a major issue. Replacing the armament pods can take a little time (especially since the game doesn't currently feature a grab feature. Overall I tried to make this ship look nice, be decently balanced with flaws as well as good features. Also, this is a suprisingly simple, but devastating kinetic penetrator, although its mostly useless against heavy armor, at even just 50m/s it can go through 6 layers of light armor and have enough momentum to keep on going (made out of large blocks [thumb]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/38594845366440234/A4CC0F5AA2DE6F11CC05A359CC55CCB8ED5224F8/[/thumb]
Update Day! Here's hoping its a new block or something that can build on game play even more. I also really wish they would have better collision boxes for ship parts, I don't know how many times I've had a wall attached to a rotor, slowly hitting another wall at a perfectly flat angle (Which shouldn't damage it) and have it explode backwards. Also I've had at least 200 ship designs not work because you can't have walls flush if they're a part of another object or ship.
Is it just me or have patches been released later and later these past few updates, could swear that a couple months ago they updates used to come out around 4-5pm GMT.
The update is hours late. Surely these are the end days.
It's either going to be a big update (maybe even factions at last) or no update at all. Just wish the Devs would post something on the forums letting us know whether its not coming or will take a while for the patch to be out.
the anticipation is killing me
