Did not try to say everything.
Was thinking of making a list of suggestions that FP wants the most that i can show to the dev's (since i can talk decently with you guys as slightly opposed on the other forum :v: ) but not sure how, any takes on how to do this?
Create a list of suggested features from the peopel in this thread. Then you make a strawpoll http://strawpoll.me/ and let people vote for the most requested features.
Better mod support.

Use this and Set it to Very Dark/Darkness. You can also add a custom skbox using it too.
Increasing the speed limit wouldnt hurt either.
Maybe just up to 150m/s, or have they not fixed the collision detection yet?

Idk I kinda feel like anything other than a dramatic increase to the speed is totally superfluous.
What really is the difference between 104m/s and 150m/s speedcap in a newtonic enviroment? Nothing really.
faction reset -> get in cockpit -> highlight all objects in terminal and set ownership to "me"
you can just do step 1 if you don't care who the owner is but if you want a 12 second way to do it that'll be it. The only problem is if you set something to be owned by you and it has guns on it the second you do that it'll start firing on things that aren't owned by you. Power off to be safe if you're not sure, I guess
Right, but first I have to gain access to the cockpit by grinding it down to get the computers out and building it back up again. I've had to do this to every cockpit in my save. I'm sick of that.
I think I've said before that instead of a research/xp system it'd be cool to have special components that can't be created, only found in cargo ships, that can be used to augment ship parts with a random modifier.

Or edit the settings of the map before you load it to reset ownersihip?
Set up a google docs spreadsheet?
My main suggestion would be some sort of basic research system.
example:
Get xp from time played/doing stuff
build research bay
use xp to make drill faster or more efficient, welder/grinder faster, more energy storage on suit, suit speed, nothing too overpowered, just convenience things.
Or just forget xp and make researching something take an hour or two so it progresses that way.
No. Artificial skill progression can go die in a fire. It's a poorly conceived way of making bad mechanics suck less over time.

True, I just think the current speed is a bit low for the distance cargo ships are at, but a dramatic increase would be a bit too much.
Do you guys think my 3.6 Ghz quadcore i7, 16 GB ram and my 770 2GB video card will run this?
Just before I purchase it.

Nah, you'll need to download more RAM, 16 isn't enough.

Has anybody tried this? I thought resetting ownership to "nobody" would make the cockpits just as inaccessible as they already were before I hacked them. I'll give it a shot later, on a backup copy.

Depends on the length of your keyboard cable.

I feel like the next big thing will be programmable blocks, but before them: piston block, rail block, the end to slider hell and faction fixes (they're pretty buggy IIRC). And ofcourse I can't miss the opportunity to remind of my compact settings suggestion :)

"Nobody" means anyone can get in and claim ownership. The option is there for a reason :)

Then why didn't they make that the default for games saved before the update, rather than making me deal with it myself?

Deal with it yourself, all you had to do was tick a tickbox in the settings, not exactly rocket science.

Nope, you need an intel xeon 12 core running at 32ghz, 64gb of ram, and don't even bother with that shitty gpu.

I wouldn't even bother with those specs. only a handful of people with SLI Titan Z and several xeon CPU's with 32GB of RAM have managed to play this on medium settings. even then, they struggled to run the game
Nope, you need an intel xeon 12 core running at 32ghz, 64gb of ram, and don't even bother with that shitty gpu.
Nope. You'll need more gigaquads than that.
Edit: Ninja'd, see above ^

May not be rocket science, but it is not intuitive. I thought owner being "nobody" was what was wrong to begin with. The owner wasn't me and it's a single player game, so who else would have been owner besides me and nobody? I'm a fucking computer programmer, so it's not like I'm clueless on how this stuff works. If it confused me, I guarantee I wasn't alone.
While I'm bitching about things I'm apparently too stupid to understand: has anybody figured out a way to turn off the magnetic attraction between connectors? I unlock them and turn them off and I'm still either stuck to the large ship or pulling a small one around behind me. Unless I use at least 3-4 thrusters at max (and most of my small ships only have 1-2 per side).

Yes it's set to singeplayer, but worlds can easily be switched between the two.
Also to get unstuck from connectors you either A. Need more thrust or B turn off BOTH connectors, turning off just one doesn't work for some reason. If you're undocking a large ship froma small ship (and not flying the small ship) you really need to turn both connectors off, as even if you have enough thrust to break free with a connector, the small ships interia dampeners wont be enough to counteract the magnetic force.

I hope they change this. Unlocking and turning off one connector should be enough to kill the magnetic pull.
If I'd have a thing I would like implemented asap it would be a simple adv. duplicator tool for creative mode, could probably be done with a simple addition to the copy-paste code so the copy-paste data can be saved in a folder, and loaded on demand.
It is such a hassle to have to open different worlds to copy/paste ships from there to other worlds if I want to dick around, and in the end I'm always afraid that the autosave will fuck something up when I dick around, since that world is the only "save" of that ship.
Also it would allow players to design ships in creative, and load the blueprint/scaffold ship into survival on the fly which would rock.
Also being able to modify world options in the world, rather than having to exit and reload to change a simple setting.
Personally I always turn autosave off whenever I'm doing anything inc reative, actually i always have it off in survival too.
I should keep autosaved turned off. Nothing is more frustrating than having it save right as I get blown out of the cockpit
