And in the end pretty much nothing happens when they collide Terrible video
Yes ,he was talking the whole time......
Omg I almost died from watching that video.
Euuuggh. Be glad that awful video has somehow helped motivate me towards finishing my own.
Sounds like Space Chavgineers.

Remaking your.... ore virus or large scale mining production or whatever you would like to call it would be interesting. And probably a lot easier this time around.

The mining ship was meant to utilize features that didn't exist but I suspected would end up in the game at some point (like collector funnels and rails and automated processing, yay!). It's just a matter of actually finding time to do it. Also I've tried to avoid starting new or revisiting old projects until this current monstrosity is done (and it just keeps growing). Audio is now a clusterfuck. Lengthwise this is only halfway done.
oh jesus you're giving me vegas flashbacks i hate vegas
If cars truly are today, I propose we all build roadsters and have space drag races.
If cars truly are today, I propose we all build roadsters and have space drag races.
Only if they're driven by space drag queens.
Summary Steering wheels and wheel controls have been added in Space Engineers. Players can now build and control vehicles. Every block that is visible in terminal can be now displayed on HUD (set on/off on terminal screen). Also some issues with Factions have been resolved (see the list below for more details). Note: wheels in multi-player are still work-in-progress and some things might not be functioning properly Features - steering wheels (sounds are placeholders – wheels in multi-player are still WIP) - wheel controls (WSAD) - adjustable welder and grinder speed (in world settings) - name and location of blocks visible in terminal can be shown on HUD - new inventory filter (hide empty inventories) - join game search box - hacking computers is a bit slower (grinding block of non-friend is slower by factor of 3) Fixes - fixed some Factions issues (turrets shooting on it's own ship, non-changeable ownership) - reduced network bandwidth during line/plane building - fixed beacon range and visibility - fixed issue when beacon broadcast was killing the server - fixed issue when antenna was working without power - fixed red circle after re-spawn - fixed beacon broadcast distance does not save - fixed old save files have no ownership
Sweet

Damnit, ninja'd.
Can you remove the wheels from the suspension blocks and use them as impact buffers in spaceship docks?
Oooooh. Suspension means we can make rail systems (prior to actual rails) a billion times more reliable and not self-destructing.
And these wheels are buggy as fuck, keen, why couldnt you have let the wheel control be assigned from the rotors and kept the old wheels in, instead of replacing them with these pieces of shit.
That showing of blocks in the HUD will be pretty useful for naming many specific rotors or landing gear.
And these wheels are buggy as fuck, keen, why couldnt you have let the wheel control be assigned from the rotors and kept the old wheels in, instead of replacing them with these pieces of shit.
The old wheels are still in, they just added these too. I personally like the new ones. Working on a roadster and crane/tow truck now.
Convert station to ship, wheels break, dock to something with a mass block, wheels break.
My left/right controls for wheels are reversed, why
Anyone else getting a crash when disconnecting from merge blocks?
Because the most important thing about a space game is building cars. :downs: Seriously, though, there is so much else they could be doing. If I wanted to build cars I'd go play gmod.

It's a weekly update though, they don't spend a whole lot of time on these anyways... hopefully theres more stuff being prepared in the background.
Can we now create mono rails like in the classic lego space/moon sets?
