what i do is i have a throttle up button, throttle down button, and a stop throttle button. for instance, throttle up would make a rotor turn right, throttle down makes it turn left, vice versa depending on the axis.

Does anybody else have a problem with building small ship cars? Everything goes fine until I add the artificial mass, and then it just bounces every few seconds for no reason even though there is no collision. Anybody know if I'm just adjusting something wrong?

I can't access the options for new stuff I add to my existing ships because there is so much shit already on it it as it fills up all the space on there already with interior lights, thrusters and doors that were placed before it.

For example, you can increase or decrease the max height of the piston or you can increase or decrease the velocity (raise or lower) of it through adding each action to the toolbar.

I tested out thrusters on rotors. It's not as bad as I thought, but it is entirely gimmicky. For one thing, the rotors are facing opposite directions, so you can't group them because moving both of them "up" means increasing rotation speed on one and decreasing on the other. Control is a pain. But putting the thrusters at angles so one is 45 degrees up and the other 45 down locks the ship into a spiral which is kind of nifty. Ruling: fun but otherwise pointless.

Now that I have all the parts, I should hopefully get my new gaming rig assembled this weekend. With my new system I should actually have enough power to play and record at the same time. I'm not willing to spend any money on that, though. So, fraps? Something else?

You're not supposed to control them as the sole commander of a ship, you can have other players worry about aiming up to 4 turrets for each menu bar setup and target enemy weak points manually. Though they do need to tie hotkeys to the menu buttons next.
