Would anyone be up for showing me the ropes next weekend? We could hop on Skype, build shit together and have fun. I bought this way back when it first became Early Access, I haven't kept up with updates much. Last thing I remember them adding were conveyor belts. How much has changed since then?
Looks like a super soaker
That's why I was asking for advice, it doesn't look too spaceship-y
That's why I was asking for advice, it doesn't look too spaceship-y
I really hope you'll add that FaZe logo. also change the orange into yellow maybe
how do I get one connector to feed stuff into the other? I got a drill head on a few pistons which connects with connectors to the main ship (where it gets stored in a crate), but messing with the throw out, collect all etc settings does not do anything it seems.
Once the drill is full, it'll start pushing items to the connector, once the drill and connector is full, it should push it into the crate. They really need to get a logistics system set up so you can pipe stuff where you want/need it to be, without having to mess around a lot like with the current system.
Shelved the An Bas,next ship will look similar but be without nukes or nearly as many maybe one at the most, thinking strategic bombers and corvettes are better suited for carrying them.
also change the orange into yellow maybe
NC scum.
NC scum.
what
NC scum.
PL pls go
it's a planetside joke you dinguses
Turning the merge block off doesn't cause the merge blocks to separate. Why? [editline]4th August 2014[/editline] Also, turrets don't shoot at decoys whatever I do to the decoy itself. How to make my ships blow each other apart?
NC scum.
At least it's not purple.

i know it would require a shitton of development time but planets would be pretty rad
Turning the merge block off doesn't cause the merge blocks to separate. Why?
Possibly a dumb question, but are any blocks touching besides the merge blocks? If so, they'll need to be removed.
Possibly a dumb question, but are any blocks touching besides the merge blocks? If so, they'll need to be removed.
Nope. Although, possibly the glass is bugging it.
Possibly a dumb question, but are any blocks touching besides the merge blocks? If so, they'll need to be removed.
I wish it would remember what was touching before and disconnect that too.
Turning the merge block off doesn't cause the merge blocks to separate. Why?
I have the same issue
Ok since everyone has been posting stuff and I've been lurking, I finally decided to share one of my original creations. I present, an unnamed heavy modular ship. It's sort of incomplete since I might want to expand the back later on The merge block is used to put anything you want underneath it for any purpose. The acceleration is really good and so is the maneuverability, so I think I am off to a good start. I want suggestions for this beast, it will be my main heavy fighter/bomber/whatever.
The U shape reminds me a little of those "Spirit" dropships from Halo.
A cockpit which has the 'controls thrusters' box unticked should be able to assign other functions to those buttons (W,A,S,D,Q,E,C,{Space})
decided to use the pistons for a mining ship with extending drill head. It works fairly well, but it shakes around like a motherfucker and tends to lose a drill when fully extended. I tried adding a door over the drill hangar but it was too clumsy, and tbh looks fairly neat without. It uses 3 pistons so it extends quite a bit, but I couldn't take a pic of it fully extended as for some reason the pistons don't want to work anymore. I don't know if it broke first, and then the tube which connects it or the other way around. [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/579029336624796052/039AA29D218ED25162C1E9E6B6D5C8451A110529/[/t]
I wish the game wasn't making corrupted savefiles and not letting me load them, I deleted every trace of mods I have and yet I still can't do anything.
I've been working on a new Warp Engine, I'll post pics and a video tommorow. I've programmed the movements into the system (Forward, Back, Up, Down, Left, Right, Roll, Yaw [Still working on pitch]) I'm pretty sure I could out maneuver any 'Warp' drive ship out there.
I have the same issue
In the ship you want to disconnect go to "Info" and there should be a button saying "Convert to ship". Just hit that and it will disconnect.
Got bored and decided to put the Greeble II through a trial by meteorite shower. Noticed that the larger asteroids tended to succeed in damaging the arms, but the bridge section took the most concentrated hits to the same areas. The most common greeble element (the struts/supports/whatsits) would often succeed in preventing smaller asteroids from making a hole in the hull. Corners and flat surfaces suffered the largest holes.

i want to see a more elongated greeble ship from you at some point
I've got a save full of little bits and bobs i've yet to make into full ships, so it's not for a lack of trying. Lack of ideas, mainly. I figure i'll at least finish the interior of this one first, which shouldn't be too hard; both arms dedicated to hangar space, and the central and rear mainly storage, power generation and other gubbins.
