Looks like the biggest consecutive integer storable in a single-precision float is 16777216, so it kinda sounds like they're working with millimetres in that case - IF it's a floating-point issue.
This giveaway is terribly flawed, I just added you dirtyfish.
Not saying your wrong but why complain when your getting a free game?
Hey can someone explain to me why ramming is banned on so many servers? I don't see what's so wrong with it. It's a realistic tactic in [del]space[/del] combat. Do people have a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that mass + momentum is the most effective weapon?
I found Leo!
I'm sorry Minelayer Tea Guy found me first he was the third person to find me. I'll add you and give you a consolation prize of your choosing.

Bumping two spaceships together isn't banned, using the starter ship to kamikaze someone's work is.
So performance in the new update is terribad for me, huge amounts of mass blocks and gravity generators lag me to hell when it never did before.
Issues for any one else?

Here is a VTOL partially controlled by thrust vectoring.

That's really fucking cool, but in space pointless lol. Looks like we're going to have ground wars in space.
Bumping two spaceships together isn't banned, using the starter ship to kamikaze someone's work is.
The point being, you get unlimited starter ships which means you can launch an infinite amount of them at others.

You fuck, stealing my funnies!
It's an outtake of my intro for a video of how Damnatus shat himself when he thought he was playing singleplayer.

Enjoy your game everyone!

this guy actually delivered, what a nice guy sharing the love of weaponizing everything.
While I would be tempted to agree with you - this is Space Engineers and it's way better than half the Early Access games spamming Steam. It's already good value. Buy it.
Of course the game already looks good, I wouldn't be interested in it if it looked bad. If it was a complete game with this building concept I would be happy to save up $20, but the fact remains that it's in early access. It's possible that the developers will keep adding updates and make the game better and better. It may even be likely that the developers will keep adding updates and make the game better and better, but it's not guaranteed. These are the people that made Miner Wars 2081, a game they released as complete that still had bugs and lacked promised features. I kickstarted castle story, so maybe you can see why I'm so hesitant to support anything that promises features down the road.
In any case I'm just sorry I missed the giveaway.

Thanks again buddy.

they've been consistently updating the game every week since the thing hit early access
they've been consistently updating the game every week since the thing hit early access
Moreover, I think pretty much all of the features I've been expecting, except for remote control and more refined quickbar block controls, are already in.

So basically this game is still in early access and everything from now on is going to be more than I expected. If that's not great value, I don't know what is.
I kickstarted castle story.
Oh god.
The thing about Early Access is that it lets people who have no idea how game development actually works buy the game.
And then they complain when, lo and behold, a game that started as a prototype in Early Access isn't finished for a few years, which is about the standard time it takes from a game to go from alpha to release.
Couple that with a few bad groups running off with the money, and cancelling the project (Terraria, for instance), and you can see why I'm not a huge fan of the idea.
That said, Keen's doing a really good job of it. I think that might be because of how Miner Wars 2081 went, and how they wanted to avoid the same PR fiasco this time. I'd also wager it's because this is the game they wanted to make in the first place, but they wanted to get some experience under their belt first.
Oh god.
What happened to castle story? Last time I looked at it it seemed to be doing fairly well, and looked interesting too.
[editline]9th August 2014[/editline]
oh, I see. Such a shame to see it barely being worked on :(
Anyone willing to trade a copy of miner wars 2081 for a copy of SE I got someone Minerwars as a gift but they turned it down and someone else wants SE.

no one wants minerwars.
Ok so after this update, I decided to update my heavy multi-role ship with the new fighter cockpit, and I've got to say it looks fucking gorgeous. I need some colour and some modules to put on it but that will come later.

What colour scheme should I go for?
So I take it by the lack of responses there is no FP server at all?
So I take it by the lack of responses there is no FP server at all?
As far as I can tell, pretty much.
Alright tell him to find me on steam, if he does he can have it. To give you a hint names Leo and I have a green haired lady as my avatar.
That also goes for anyone else who wants it first three people to find me get the game.
I'm leaving work soon so I wont be able to pick the winners till I get home in 8hrs or so.
Actually don't worry she's about to buy it now as you responded when I was asleep.

Not until the netcode improves.

Well at least that's promising from a development standpoint. I've looked around a bit more and agree that their update schedule is actually being followed through. Hopefully it will go on sale again sometime soon.

I also made a totally useless scissor-lift type thing.
