I also made a totally useless scissor-lift type thing.
I can see it now. Somebody who insulted your creations is running out of energy and cant risk using their jetpack too much. Then you smugly roll up in your "useless" scissor lift and save the day!

I could see it being useful if there's ever a way to define areas where jetpacks can be used, or if someone ever implements a mod that disables them in gravity wells. There could be some interesting gameplay there.
i love how you guys always make everything fucking ribbed
i love how you guys always make everything fucking ribbed
For your pleasure bb ;)
Ok so after this update, I decided to update my heavy multi-role ship with the new fighter cockpit, and I've got to say it looks fucking gorgeous. I need some colour and some modules to put on it but that will come later. There are some really nice mods on the workshop. I don't know what other games are like but i've seen a few uploads that are just already existing mods people have edited or uploaded without even asking or saying who originally made them, which is bad.
look at the GMod workshop for more than a minute and you'll see its the same.
And garrysmod.org before that. [editline]10th August 2014[/editline] Best to find the original makers of mods and just look through the stuff they've uploaded (in the case of SE, checking the official forum's modding section); rather than downloading it from some worthless pillock whose only achievement in modding is understanding the concept of uploading things, and thereby encouraging them to keep doing it. In Gmod's case, some reuploads can at least be justified by the original source links being dead; unlikely with SE.
So I take it by the lack of responses there is no FP server at all?
I might start hosting a server, as long as it doesn't get over-filled and people can play nice, why not! How many people are actually interested in a FP populated server? (I'll still run it if its only a couple of you)
Did they expose a plug-in API in the most recent update? I've only seen new models on the workshop except for the camera mod.
I would host SE again if I could actually play it.
Thus, we must do our part and downvote them.
The problem is sometimes being unable to distinguish the original posting from the reupload. I always had this problem on garrysmod.org where there could be 3+ instances of a mod but no way of knowing the real one.
i love how you guys always make everything fucking ribbed
Creates more surface area for projectiles to bounce off of while saving mass, assuming it's additive.
i dunno about you guys but i prefer smooth ships, with outer details only added to keep it from being a flying rectangle.
Does anyone else have Space Engineers update every now and then with like 50 - 60 MB updates? I get the change updates, but what are these other ones?
Does anyone else have Space Engineers update every now and then with like 50 - 60 MB updates? I get the change updates, but what are these other ones?
Hotfixes.
Does anyone else have Space Engineers update every now and then with like 50 - 60 MB updates? I get the change updates, but what are these other ones?
Fixes, the devs also silently add new things to existing changelogs, check them after each update
In Gmod's case, some reuploads can at least be justified by the original source links being dead; unlikely with SE.
Usually unjustified since generally reuploads like this are incredibly outdated, possibly not even the latest released version, and are buggy as hell or just simply don't work. Or they're maps. Which is... kinda okay, for some old ones, I guess.
Got my new computer built and working. Found out what it's like to play at 1920x1080 with a nice fps. I'm in love.
I downloaded and toyed around with the "Zealous" vessel that someone displayed a few months ago. Upon having difficulty getting the shells to work, I decided to remove the rocks that caused the shells to fly forward due to the gravity (it used a field of 176 g's out the barrel of the cannon) and add in artificial masses instead. What I got afterwards was a smoldering wreck of a ship that had ripped itself in two pieces and had continued to spin its way on collision course to the target. Gravity is one hell of a drug.
Not sure if I just oversee something but I couldn't find a solution on google. Is it not possible to access the floating ships? Like hacking them gain ownership or do I have to stick with grinding them into bits?
Less Thrusters, More Compact.
Suggestion noted and implemented. I am still quite a noob at building since this is my first ever original build. I made it shorter by about 6 blocks and gave the wings a new design. There are less thrusters, but I couldn't go any less since it would make it less maneuverable. Anyways, it handles like a dream and I want to keep making it better.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/uPQQdl4.png[/t] I made a arm drill. And yes, it expands, it rotates, and it changes the pitch of the drill. It also has the amazing benefit of annoying everyone on the server.

Is anyone having a problem where there server isn't saving despite autosave being on?

I've done a lot of mining with pistons but I've never been able to attach two pistons or a rotor and a piston
