Space Engineers - Say goodbye to Starmade and Blockade runner.

god i wish i could build shit like that. every time i start a game i end up just stealing cargo ships then getting bored because im shit at building.
To those that said "You don't ever rebuild a game's engine" - I just had direct confirmation that the Blockade Runner Engine is being rebuilt. This is public/common knowledge to anyone that follows ZanMgt but that just debunks some folks claims.
On the topic of Blockade Runner, I regret naming the thread what I did now, at the time of creation, Blockade Runner was dead and no-one knew if it was coming back. Well now as I've been confirmed as a founder, all I can say is that I am excited for it and wish I was able to share what they're doing. For anyone that really likes the whole "Spaceship voxel building" genre, I highly suggest giving Blockade Runner a follow on Facebook. Very far from completion but their PR Manager is great and he posts to Facebook every day. Worth following just because it's interesting to hear about the development schedule.
Back on Topic, I look forward to contributing to the Space Hulk when I get my internet back (on a 0.1mb) connection right now. Did anyone have a look to see if it had been featured on the Space Engineers website or Facebook page?
Is that based off that carrier from that galaxy on fire alliances iPad game? Looks similar
nope, haven't heard of that game.

im pretty shit too, but i just keep trying. the more you design thebetter you get! Ive been working on that huge ship since before heavy armor as well :/
I'm getting banned from a PVP server because last night when no one was online I raided someones base. I stole their mining hauler (After disarming it), I took it back to my base. I took all the cargo containers, a refinery, the ores, pretty much everything with components and than returned it to him for him to find it in the morning. In hindsight I shouldn't have done that to the server admin.
Apologize to him and give him his stuff back with nukes as cargo. :v:

We need timer triggers, so we can make nuclear timebombs.

Well it can't be because I never said that, nor has anyone else said you never.

I'm really liking the Pitch Black skybox.
Its so atmospheric - like you're 5000m under the ocean. Not to mention it gets rid of any fps issues caused by asteroids.

Makes me want to make a MP steampunkish survival scenario similar to that steam game Sunless Sea. Where you band together to survive in the murk finding derelicts, hulks and rogue asteroids. And trade what limited resources at dilapidated outposts with other player crews.
Just need to swap the current NPC cargo ships with wrecks and hulks and add other shit yo
I suck at building pseudo-steampunk so if anyone wants to contribute that'll be grand.

Check your world options when in the load menu. See that little mods button?

Ever wanted to have retractable solar panels but don't want to use rotors for hinging doors or pistons to make sliding panels to make a space for them on your outer hull, the soloution? Exploit the hitboxes of solar panels and blast doors!.

Those blast door edge hitboxes and the solar panels hitbox sure do complement each other (although, annoyingly, the solar panels actual build hitbox is larger than its physical hitbox.

Looks like we're getting those spherical gravity generators tomorrow

What about for dedicated servers? I don't see anything in the launch options nor can I find any information about mod installation on dedicated servers.
I wish I could put a light on a wall without it being a whole cube and preventing me from putting anything next to it.
I hope a mod or update can fix that someday

Holy hell that's tedious. I guess I'll make a mod manager to output the mod ID's for me to paste there. It'll make it easier to track the mods too I suppose since I can use Steam API to get their names and such.

That's all well and good when you're playing, but when you're sharing screenshots with people, where the primary aim is to SHOW people things, it isn't good, you may as well have just wrote out a description instead of posting the screenshot.

but the whole point is exactly what you can't see. Not what you can.
if it was fullbright it'll just be another SE screenshot of a ship and a station :C
