but the whole point is exactly what you can't see. Not what you can.
if it was fullbright it'll just be another SE screenshot of a ship and a station :C
Thats not what fullbright is. fullbright is no lighting and so everything is one default brightness.
Thats not what fullbright is. fullbright is no lighting and so everythings one default brightness.
I know what fullbright is.
The complete opposite of that skybox would be a fullbright one - thats why I mentioned it.
Ever wanted to have retractable solar panels but don't want to use rotors for hinging doors or pistons to make sliding panels to make a space for them on your outer hull, the soloution? Exploit the hitboxes of solar panels and blast doors!.

Those blast door edge hitboxes and the solar panels hitbox sure do complement each other (although, annoyingly, the solar panels actual build hitbox is larger than its physical hitbox.
This just makes me think of sliding a debit/credit card between someone's butt cheeks.

Looks like we're getting those spherical gravity generators tomorrow
I thought they specifically said they couldn't do that because it didn't work right in the engine.
Guess they tried harder. Good job, Keen!
We're getting spherical gravity gens tomorrow? Why would we need them when there's already a mod?
Here's hoping they don't just start taking good mods and slapping "Official" on them and having them as part of a weekly update.
I'd like new content this week, pistons opened up another world of possibilities so I don't know why they're not adding more mechanical function blocks like those. I'd like to see, rails, winch systems, ect.
I doubt its made the same way as the mod. It probably works better.

They never said that.
In one of the very first dev blogs they specifically said they have already tried SE with spherical gravity, but it made running around ships weird.

Even if they did it better (Which seems unlikely because its pretty straight forward and the mod doesn't have issues) they should seriously add more onto the mechanical blocks, and if not that they they have to add more purpose to the in-game world.
I mean mining could be expanded on tenfold and that would add a lot more purpose in the game.

uh the mod is just unlocking the thing in the files its already there.
SE twitter just posted this

Is that the spherical gravity generator?

Sorry I didn't read the rest of the thread. :v:

I can't help but notice that the orbits lose or gain energy in weird cycles?
The apogee seems to change even though it should be the same every orbit.

So then we're getting an update that brings us something we already had but was just disabled, that's going to make it worse if that's all they're planning for tomorrow.
Even a few conveyor parts would be nice, say a T section so you don't always need to use a conveyor block when working with tight conveyors
i don't think there's been a single update so far that's just had ONE feature
i don't think there's been a single update so far that's just had ONE feature
The large drill update only added one block, and spectator mode and choosing suit colour aren't a large addition at all. Although to be fair that was one of the only really underwhelming updates they've had.
I'm not saying we don't need large ship drills, but it just really wasn't that much of a new feature as much as a larger version of something we already had, that only had one use.

it was disabled because it doesn't work with small ship artifical mass and a couple of other things.
So... what if you build a long rod, and put artificial mass on it, and the sphere generator right under it. Would it endlessly spin around?
Like this
---------------------X--
*
Where X is the artificial mass and the * is the generator.
no it would just go towards the gravity generator

Eventually the artificial mass would just come to rest on the sphere generator because of friction.
Didn't he mean the mass would be fixed on that rod, not sliding?

I think I misunderstood the diagram.
Watch them not add numpad functionality again.
I swear, it feels we are going to have nuclear fission and planets in this game before they add this one simple thing.

They made it so you can add functionality to number keys, not sure off the top of my head if numpad works with those.

All I want is my functions to be shaped like my WASD, is that so much to ask for?
custome mapping like source engines key binding would be great
Still working on this beast ... slowly

Thats a lot of Titan engines how many reactors you have going?
spaeking of titan engines

I cant telll right now if this is badsass or not but I kinda think it tis
13 large reactors and 345 small reactors .. S: theres a gap between the outer and inner layor of armor that ive filled with either small reactors or gyros.
why the hell do you have so many small reactors

And if you can't say things without being condescending, don't say them.
I've already been told I was wrong more than I've needed to be. You spewing vitriolic, demonizing garbage is both rude and unnecessary.
People are wrong sometimes. It happens. Do you think I could go back through your post history and not find a single instance where you've been wrong? No? Then shut the hell up.
