why the hell do you have so many small reactors
IF I recall it takes 5 large reactors just to power 1 titan engine.
why the hell do you have so many small reactors
wait i didnt read its in the armor whupa
Yeah she produces about 3.5 gigawats and uses about 70% just to move foward
would small scale PvP be interesting to anyone? small-scale as in tactical combat via fighters and frigates(and classes below) deploy fighters and the smaller large ships against each other or over an objective wouldnt lag too bad and could be fun
ideally i'd like a bring-your-own-fighter situation. i think that'd be fun.
ideally i'd like a situation where a bunch of people can copypaste/bring their favorite fighter into a server and then do something like that. i think it'd be fun way for people to show off their designs and oogle at others' [editline]21st August 2014[/editline] byof
that was my thought you know, bring in 2-3 designs of fighters if you want borrow somebody else's design if you dont have any that you like same with frigates bring a single one or help crew someone elses if they so desire
i wonder if there's like an SA/goons space engineers group that would throw down against FP, that'd be the balls once MP is more stable
i wonder if there's like an SA/goons space engineers group that would throw down against FP, that'd be the balls once MP is more stable
FP would most likely get owned.
mostly because there would be 5 goons for every FPer
I did Research (!) and it seems that their thread is slightly less/ about as active as ours is currently plus their ships aren't as sexy. Hypothesis: They would get brutally rek'd
mostly because there would be 5 goons for every FPer
Plus, goons tend to be better coordinated than FPers for stuff like this. Although my main thought of train from that does come from Eve Online.
Guys, is it possible to stop cargo ships? I usually drift too far away from my homebase when I try to capture them, my strategy is to turn off dampening, align velocity with the cargoship and then cut it apart. What is the best strategy for capturing cargo ships?
Blowing out the engines should do it, but good luck with that.
Blowing up the engines wouldn't do shit to stop them. The basic strategy is to get into the cargo ship (either making your way through a door or into the hull), grind down and then rebuild the cockpit, check for warheads/booby traps, then turn on Z to turn on inertial dampening, from there you can grind down the systems and rebuild them for things you need to fly the ship back to the base. Also if it has external turrets either remove all the ammo or power down the ship and then once it's powered down just grind down the turrets.

you could also just tow it back to your base
you could also just tow it back to your base
I tried that one time with a tug ship of mine, had a landing gear on the bottom and attached my ship to it, problem was I forgot to turn off the ships engines so it started eating my ship apart.
Most ships are only booby trapped with the breaking thrusters, so just grind and rebuild the cockpit and a gyroscope, turn the ship 180° around and activate the inertia dampeners.
I just set all the thrusters to display on HUD.
Plus, goons tend to be better coordinated than FPers for stuff like this.
And if you can't say things without being condescending, don't say them. I've already been told I was wrong more than I've needed to be. You spewing vitriolic, demonizing garbage is both rude and unnecessary. People are wrong sometimes. It happens. Do you think I could go back through your post history and not find a single instance where you've been wrong? No? Then shut the hell up.
tbh I don't think Squeegy has ever been wrong from what I've seen.
Talking shit about Squeegy is highly inadvisable.

Wow it runs a lot better now, 50-60 fps when looking at the asteroids now as opposed to ~20 before, thanks KSH [editline]21st August 2014[/editline] New textures are nice as well
dank fixes I hope they fixed the fullbright bug on certain skyboxes
I'm glad they implemented these multiplayer improvements to rotors: I have a friend that puts rotors on all his stuff and playing MP with him became almost impossible :v:
more respawn ships, is that just the feature to add your own respawn ships, or did keen make more respawn ships?
more respawn ships, is that just the feature to add your own respawn ships, or did keen make more respawn ships?
both!
