is that a small block attached to the top of a rotor? How'd you do that?
Space magic? I'm guessing space magic.
You can grind off parts of small and big rotors, you have to push a certain part of a destroyed small rotor onto a big one - it just snaps into place. Someone will post a video - sorry imma busy.

Oh my god
So space magic is confirmed in the latest update
Im more confused at how he got two rotors to grab the same thing.
Anyways, this is the smallest I can make a murderdrone with all 6 thrusters. Murderdrone mini.

Its thin enough to even fit through doors

Next Im gonna make one even smaller, a murderdrone micro, with only 2 thrusters, an auto-detonating yihadrone, one that drops little timed or remote denonate mines, and a wheeled version.
That's really cool, but I hope they'll implement it so you can do that in a "proper" way, if that makes any sense.
i like that the rotor exploit isn't even much of a glitch, you're just directly MacGuyvering the pieces together

AFAIK, the devs are aware of it but are leaving it in for now, unintended feature if you will. Besides, its already easy to do.

Or, if in creative with copy and paste, ctrl+shift+x on the stator and it'll delete it.

Merge Blocks.
Since we all love LSG, here's his video on how to do it.

Again, in creative mode you can use the cut feature, you just gotta be careful where you aim when doing it.

YOU FUCKING NINJA YOU
Haven't played with it yet, but I looked at the drone stuff a bit. I was happy to see that if you take a small cockpit and disassemble it, you can assemble a camera, antenna and control block and have parts leftover. So converting a small ship to a drone is economical in that regard. Of course, there's the power for antennas and such, but still.
I'm trying to make a torpedo launcher using the timer block but something doesn't work.
The idea is to have the gravity generators turned off until the very moment of launch. the timer should first turn on gravity, release the torpedo by mergeblocks and then turn off gravity again, all with a 3 second delay to let the torpedo be sent.
But the gravity generator doesn't seem to do anything at all when the timer is triggered.
am i doing things wrong or does anyone else get this?
Are you turning the gravity off and back on with the same timer? I don't think you can do that.
Are you turning the gravity off and back on with the same timer? I don't think you can do that.
It's the other way around. The timer is supposed to turn on the disabled gravity (which it doesn't do) then release the torpedo and finally turn off the gravity again.
any ideas how i can make this happen with the press of one button?
Damnit, this update broke my periscopes on my sub, as now I can't access the cameras without having to try and jury rig the remote control to do it and while it will let me do what i want it to do int he control panel, it won't let you do it using the tool bar sat in a cockpit.
Anyone have that picture of an astronaut by a blackboard demonstrating the weapon value of stuff? I don't have it anymore, and Google returns useless crap no matter the search terms used.

Loaded my savegame up to find an invincible clone of myself.
Sounds like the beginning of a creepy pasta. Let us know if your screen starts turning to static.
happened to me too a while back

I hope that the military minelayer will now actually drop mines. Although I guess the game would need an auto-fabrication system first
conveyors and connectors are great but

completely worth the fuel imo

Make an automatic crate storage facility with pistons that grab crates and put them in places

Add a second timer. All the actions on the timer block happen at once. If you tell it to turn on the gravity and turn it off, then you'll never see the gravity on because it's instantly turned back off. You have to have a second timer block turn the gravity back off and have the first timer trigger the second one.
i dont really notice the different wall texture.

made a tactical video controlled nuke, small reactors seem cheaper than batteries for this.
So in the production of my remote controlled murder machines, I figured "whats more horrifying than being chased down by a speedy little chunk of metal strapped with as many warheads as will fit though a door set to explode when it gets within slapping distance?"
Doing that but having it spam red strobe lights at you as it gets closer. Then I flew over where I was storing all the prototypes and just about had a seizure.

Smallest is 3x3 btw

And FYI, as of the latest update you can just remove the rotor head like you remove blocks usually.

smallest may be 3x3x3, but 3x3x3 doesnt fit through a door. My favorite is 2x2x6 (2x2x4 if you dont count thruster tubes)

I was even able to fit it some boom boom

Damn I just realized by scooting stuff around and eliminating the warheads I could make it only 5 blocks long, or maybe even 4
Is there a way to create a custom respawn ship without replacing the default one? Everything I've seen online involves overwriting the default file, and the game doesn't seem to recognize anything simple like calling the new ship 'RespawnShip02.sbc' .

I tried making this, but I couldn't make it controllable.

Set the top two rotors and the large ship rotor to off make sure you have a gyro on the top section that has the rockets.
Soo hyped for this update, drones have so many practical applications and can save so much time
I can't really think of anything I could do with timers but I'm pretty stoked to see what everyone else makes with them
Thanks Keen! :downs:
A whole page late, but don't use the sarcastic downs syndrome emoticon if you want a real smile  and not look like an ass :v:
