Another thing i'm working on. Everything that needs it will have proper conveyor connections, mainly so when that invader script is fixed I can have this ship as one of the things that'll attack the player in survival.

So, does the game currently has gameplay now?
It has since Alpha started.
So this might be a stupid question, but I'm on the fence about getting this game.
I wanted to hear your opinion on whether it's worth it or not?
So, does the game currently has gameplay now?
There's currently no real goals to reach for, so the only real gameplay is in attacking ships that have no AI, and mining.
The addition of sensors and stronger modding support (and soon, programming) will greatly improve the gameplay - cargo ships can actively seek out the player and attack them or try to avoid them, and modders can create scenarios for the player to do.

It's worth it, although still very much unfinished.
They're adding and fixing stuff every thursday though (and have done so since release, they only missed one during the christmas period), so it's definitely not dead like some other Early Access games might be.
Some of the planned "coming soon" features include in-game programming of ships and stations, procedurally generated infinite world and maybe AI enemies and missions
Only get it if you like sandbox games, though this isn't really minecraft style of sandbox, the bits and bobs actually do interesting things and are useful for various design purposes.
If sanbox and building games are your thing then definately ,also helps if you like space.

So how many hours has everyone put in so far?I was slightly horrified to see I have 515 hours logged so far.
Plus as in any sandbox game, it definitely helps if you have a friend to play it with (that also lives close to you because the netcode is shit still, so the higher their ping, the more everything freaks out)

Like 120, I'd play more if I had friends to play with :v:
There is one person, but her PC is shit plus she lives in the US, so ~15 FPS and massive lag don't make for an enjoyable gaming experience
474 hours, although for like the last month I've been somewhat burned out on it so haven't been playing as much as I usually did.

I always have good ideas for ships, so I often boot the game up, but leave shortly after when the ship building goes horribly.

this so hard. Same thing with legos.

It's totally fucking worth it.

IMO Survival isn't as fleshed out as it could be at this point but your mileage may vary; I know people who have played nothing since survival even when it was extraordinarily basic.
Personally I made up the cost of the game within the first two weeks just building ships. That aspect alone to me is worth far more than the $15 I put down.
I made up the cost of this game in the first twenty or so hours just smashing ships together
I like it as a platform for art and that's it right now. IMO, survival isn't playable yet and isn't really even close to being so. It's about as interesting as playing Minecraft when survival barely had mobs and Notch was just getting done with making particles drop when you broke things (had Notch released it at that point). There were great community servers where people made shit and there were awesome sculptures being put up on FP and Reddit, but that was it.
I personally love designing ships, so if you want to do that, go for it. If you just want to play around with voxel based ship "physics" and think survival is sorta functional, that's not enough and it isn't; don't buy it yet.

Extra stress on how much I like it as is, and not to mention how interesting the development schedule is. But it isn't a game.

I designated my asteroid base Exploratory Base -01A or EB-01A .
Thinking of making a survival horror map out of it,anyone know if there are engineer ragdolls on the workshop?
Ebola.
Please tell me you were aware of it looking like "EBOLA" when you made that.

...Crap.
Someone said my asteroid looked like space Ebola so I went with it.

Space ebola is not a joke
It's very serious business :v:
We need a space ambulance now.

fix'd
All space nouns require "space" before them to be a grammatically-sound space sentence.
But there is no sound in space
shut up space nerd go read a space dictionary or somethin'

I once played a hotshot coke-fiend space-fighter pilot in a tabletop campaign who did this on a constant basis. It was the best if you ask me, not so much if you ask anyone else present.
I vote for it to be mandatory in SE.

I also now have 80 mods installed on a single map I wonder how long untill it implodes.
