While everyone's busy building awesome spaceships, I'm just sitting here writing a model importer [T]http://i.imgur.com/g6HUjbC.jpg[/T] [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell's_teapot"]Cosmic Teapot, anyone?[/URL] Just got it to work the first time, with the obligatory teapot of course. There's a lot of stuff broken, but at least I got something to work off now I guess (I know that they'll release an official importer, but I'd have to wait for that and where's the fun in that? :v:)
What kind of features or things/blocks would you guys want to see in the game or in a modpack? (asking so I can start modeling/texturing just in case they don't add that certain feature)

Is it known when weapons will be reactivated? Also, this game is fun, i like making a heavily armored cube with shitloads of engines and a spike on the front and just going right through the red ship in easy start mode.

I really hope someone mods in traditional naval turret cannons soon. I don't expect devs to do it since they are going for hard science, so I'm not sure how much sense they'd make from a realism standpoint. Might do it myself once model converter releases if nobody else does.

Just found a few files in Steam > steamapps > common > SpaceEngineers > Content > Data PhysicalItems.sbc includes ores: ore_rock ore_Fe_iron ore_Ni_nickel ore_Co_cobalt ore_Mg_magnesium ore_Si_silicon ore_Ag_silver ore_Au_gold ore_Pt_platinum ore_UO2_uranite ore_H20_ice Well, seems like ores will have their scientific attribute (whatever the fuck the word is, I hate science). Also, that is a lot of ores. EDIT: Does anybody know what a MWM file is and how to open it?

The actual ship part isn't even made properly yet like it has no thrusters n shit. I'm going to add a load of redundancy systems and ammo storage as well.

Is anyone else finding it very laggy to build with the Ctrl + Shift system they added in? Tried making a pane of blocks and I was feeling the FPS drop quick as it got larger.
The ctrl + shift is cool but I find it tends to go in the wrong direction to where I want it to.

Do you guy's know any good colour's that go well together in this game? I want to have a go at painting my ship again tomorrow. Haven't got any pics right now, on a diferent pc.
