Dat cockpit
Dat cockpit
Yeah that's what caught my attention right away. Always thought TIEs were sexy little fuckers myself. Sadly it seemed the visibility was shit. Should be seated closer to the actual window imo
Should be more like one sided glass, from the outside it looks like there's only a tiny viewport, but from the inside you can see quite alot and not just a little bit.
Today is going to be a good day.

... is it just because there's gonna be an update, or because you actually know what the update will contain, and it's gonna be something huge?
yes
there was talk earlier about sound in space earlier which got me thinking if it's possible and/or easy to mod the sounds in the game.
because i'd love to have the current engine and thruster sounds changed to something with a little more oomph. you know like you're actually strapped to a freaking rocket blasting through space.
to heck with realism! i want noisy star wars wub wub wub nnnneeeeeuuuurrrnnnnn pew pew smash in my space engineers!
it might also satisfy the people craving for lasers if you'd change the firing sound and recoloured the tracers.

also, blueprints have appeared as a filter choice on steam workshops, which could only mean one thing.
Mildly disappointed they still haven't fixed the thing I reported forever ago, but oh well, maybe they will at some point in the future
I did enjoy having 60fps instead of 30 though

Pictured below is me the next time I browse the workshop.

There is more than that, from certain distances thruster effects can be seen through 1 layer of block or anything else.
Bit of a boring update, I'm not saying Blueprints aren't cool, but they usually add a few things.
Awww. I was hoping for survival blueprints that you had to build gradually :(

Have a pretty ship
I am honestly pretty damn exited about these blueprints because now I can finally build ships without having to manage hundreds of saves to find and use those ships.
I'm sure survival mode blueprints will be added eventually, for now I can happily design ships again.
Also that modular ship with blueprints was sexy as hell, I just hope they add folders to the blueprint bar one day
would be nice if, even in survival, dropping a blueprint dropped a bare frame ship, meaning you'd have to weld shit to it.

They seem to have an awful lot of typos in their update videos.
At first I was meh about this update, then I finally made the mental connection:
I don't have to load a world, copy a ship, load a different world, paste the ship, and repeat the process a dozen times. YES!

I've been nagging to a dev about this feature for quite some time already. I guess they didn't want to half-ass it :v:

Also, this interview went not quite like the last time..

They're blowing it up and fixing it in realtime

meh, i hoped for a block
I wanted a block that prints blocks. Artificial masses do more damage when fired out out of a gravity cannon than stones
After this update, meteor showers seem to have a 50/50 chance of crashing my game to desktop. The game also acts like it's in slow motion when looking at certain blocks.
I just bought a new video card, but it was working perfectly fine before today's update. Kinda disappointing.
meh, i hoped for a block
Obviously you're not a guy who has 160 ships across 20 saves, wishing you could access any of them on any save at any time. This update is the single best update since symmetry.
yeah blueprints are awesome, and it's we're soooo close to automated construction now
