My own images are confusing me i can hardly tell which is what side :v:
Am I incredibly slow for not discovering this before now? [T]http://i.imgur.com/Y3hBElO.jpg[/T] How long has the other axes(?) been there?
Since they added symmetry mode
Welp, now I look stupid :v:
Don't you mean 400 litres? 4000 is the amount you hold on 10x mode. :v:
I don't even know, man. It was frustratingly tiny.
Wow, just tried survival for the first time in maybe 5 months. Playing on 3x and I got bored after like 30 minutes. The tedium is real.

I can't play survival unless it's on 10x. Everything is just too slow.
I just started playing again after over a year and I tried playing Survival on the default settings. :suicide: [editline]12th October 2014[/editline]
I don't even know, man. I feel like if i were to play survival now one of the first things I'd make is hover cube to carry tons of crap around with me so I can avoid rubberband syndrome.
Rope. We need rope. Or Duct Tape. [editline]13th October 2014[/editline] Or just you know, a generic tether of sorts.
Any interesting scripted mods yet?
How did you use only one plane without flipping through the rest
Tactical use of the 'n' key I would imagine.
How did you use only one plane without flipping through the rest
I only used the red one, never thought to press "M" more than once until I did so on accident. To be fair, I did get the game rather late, and as such didn't watch some of the earlier update videos. But the fault is mostly my own inattentiveness though. Now that I think about it, the one plane have worked well for me so far, I can only think of a couple of projects in which a second axis would have been useful.
It's a hard time being one of the few that make high quality workshop replica uploads. My work and a friend of mines work has several times been copied and modified, reuploaded then having people taking full credit for it. But today. Someone really shows how low you can get. My friend Da Gooze had his upload of the 1000 meter Destiny recorded by a group of kids claiming to have made all the destiny versions da gooze did and the 1000 meter version being recorded. Saying stuff like: "made it with 8 friends in 2 weeks" Da Gooze made it alone in 32 hours. His original workshop upload: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=281189125 + The YT video with the kids saying they made it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV75w2lknsM Video doesnt even deserve being shown in this thread, only the link to it.
wow thats low thats really low My ulysses replica is nothing too special, but if someone tried to steal it I would fucking melt down.
I regret never uploading any of my replicas to the workshop for fear of them being stolen. I lost my Consular class and a few others when my hard drive failed.

Or use btsync if you have multiple computers or a vps to not keep it on some limited GB plan

Good that you can turn copypaste off though, but that forces me to make whole new ships instead of using my previous ones.
I'm not really sure of why you're afraid of your work being copied. I mean, I know it's fucking bullshit, and probably could be argued to be a breach of copyright, but- what's the fear come from?

It's not really a 'fear', just very unpleasant.

When someone legitimately spends a long time and puts in a lot of effort creating/refining anything, this can be understandably annoying. Semi-unrelated note: Jesus fuck, that ship. And I can't even make a half-decent fighter. Speaking of which, how are you guys going about capturing these neutral ships?
One strategy I use is, I just launch myself on approximate intercept course at the ship armed with the standard grinder + welder. If the ship doesn't fire at me (and, well, I don't know if they do - last time I played they didn't) I can just equalise my speed with it and get grinding on any traps that are there. If there are none, I flip it around and head back toward my beacon. I should probably play again.

Whenever I try to capture one, I either get shot to death or I can't get in the cockpit, because of "access denied".
Whenever I try to capture one, I either get shot to death or I can't get in the cockpit, because of "access denied".
You need to "hack" the cockpit with your angle grinder (as in grind it down until no "computer" parts are left, then rebuild it back)
nowadays they do fire back, if I try to intercept one either my own ship get's destroyed or the thing I try to intercept end up shredded to tiny bits, leaving nothing to scavange.
Huuuh. Well, so much for cheap infinite resources, then. I guess I should try to make a flare deploying vessel or something to help in capturing ships.
I tried to make a new interceptor ship a while back to replace my pre-turret-update one (which was basically a fuckton of solar panels and some thrusters with a landing gear on a boom) but all the shit I needed for it ended up being ridiculous. "Ok, so you've got a cockpit... but that's got computer components and needs protection, so let's encase that in heavy armor. Maybe it'd help if there were decoys? But it would be best if they were off to the side... -several minutes and a test run later- So those don't last long at all, I'm going to need armor for the decoys too..." It ended up looking like a flying brick. I was supposed to make an interceptor drone but I made this little buddy instead [t]http://i.imgur.com/GO2VN5Z.jpg[/t] I call it Cardinal. It flies around and shoots at things, I guess. Whee. Also, I once tried making an automated drilling ship but apparently sensors can't detect asteroids.
Whenever I try to capture one, I either get shot to death or I can't get in the cockpit, because of "access denied".
Personally I'd likely just use a ship or drone to haul the ship back to base in once piece, then grind the whole thing down in one go. I'm currently interested in just the Personal Sail and Business Shipment models because lolfreesolarpanels.
