If someone did build the nostromo, it would have to be a station and some sort of rp. No way you could use it for actual flying.
I've built ships around it's size before. It won't be nimble, but it'd definitely be able to move with enough gyroscopes.

that measurement has to be wrong though, that would make the bridge viewports less than a single block high
that measurement has to be wrong though, that would make the bridge viewports less than a single block high
If its the only written down length then its probably the lenght they wanted it to be. Building stuff in space engineers and using blueprints requires some of the most difficult decisions for compromises of shapes and sizes of stuff, Nostromo looks like one of the hardest to make. What height does the viewports appear to have in the movie then? Because a single block is 2,5 meters.
If someone did build the nostromo, it would have to be a station and some sort of rp. I might attampt this today.
Threw together a really rough 1/2 size model so I could figure out the damn angles [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/43109238952049313/5F2E81D5924AD600AB8E8F30605C2A13FCB27C68/[/t] [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/43109238952048651/815FDD3FC02A82EF467B14E1E20834CDF4147C79/[/t] Pretty good for eyeballing it imo now on to the full size.
If someone did build the nostromo, it would have to be a station and some sort of rp. No way you could use it for actual flying.
I flew the FP spacehulk ,I have also flown a 700m long super carrier. the game is actually really forgiving in terms of size of ships.
I flew the FP spacehulk ,I have also flown a 700m long super carrier. the game is actually really forgiving in terms of size of ships.
Back when the hulk was reasonable size, I flew it around a bit with the help of some titan engines, but I cant even get 4 fps even pasting it into a fresh world anymore.
don't forget the escape shuttle.
Im actually gonna re-watch the movie to get a feel for the features. I wanna get the interior somewhat right.
Could someone tell me what the Nostromo is actually from?

Alien, Aliens

Help? I put a bunch of stuff in my refinery, but it's not refining it. It's making noise and chugging along like it's doing some serious work, but nothin' is happening. What is going on and how do I fix it? I am running low on fuel and should really appreciate being able to refine this assload of uranium ore I just mined.
I made a fighter, I'm really happy with the design of it. I really wish this game had a block pick function like in Minecraft. I'd gladly give up the paint function's place on the scroll wheel as a trade. Also, are conveyors glitched/broken again? The small conveyors I set up on my work drone ship aren't working at all (I can't transfer material from welder/grinder to cargo container) and when I connect two large ships with a connector, they can't trade through their inventories. They're meant to be able to do that, right? Like if I wanted to deposit all the mined ore from one ship into the other ship that has a refinery?

Ah, my reactor was turned off. Duh. Hey, is there a mod that lets you place a blueprint without having the components in your inventory? Just the blueprint, not the building itself. I do all my building with a constructor ship filled with building components. Since I have to get out of my ship to place blueprints anyway, it's annoying having to grab the components I need from the cargo hold before going out to do them. I always have to come back and grab more.
Don't think there is, but in the future you'll be able to make welders place blocks according to a pre-made ship blueprint, so you'll probably be able to make a ship in creative mode, save it as a blueprint, then build it in survival, or just download a blueprint from Steam Workshop
speaking of which, any guesses for the update today?
Nothing but bugfixes, maybe an improvement to one or two already existing features
any guesses on whick bugs?
I hope they fix some multiplayer issues at least.

Most of my ships have the same basic design, so that'd be a big timesaver! Also, refineries. What's the deal? I built three thinking that they would share the workload to refine things faster. They're all connected with conveyers, and the conveyers seem to be working properly. I dump my ore in the cargo container they're attached to, and it automatically dumps it into the refineries to begin being broken down. Instead of splitting a stack three ways, though, it dumps the entire stack in the first refinery, while the other two remain empty. It only overflows into the other refineries once I have filled the first one, then the second. Am I doing something wrong, or is that just how it is?
