Thruster mod?
I'm using Embershard's Dragon Vector thrusters and the LS-18 SABRE engines. In the guts is the Godzilla 5 MW reactor, and the cockpit is the Azimuth cockpit.
i tried to build a 200 block long ship and didn't realize the job i had accepted. I finished the exterior okay but holy fuck, even with all these mods, filling the interior is fucking tedious. To the point I dont even want to do it.

I have the most fun doing smaller frigates and stuff but I like completed big ships for how much detail and stuff they have on the inside, and designing fighters to fit in the three different hangars and entry points of the ships above is fun. I should just sit down and chug it out. Also, I lost all my saves when I upgraded to W8 somehow, guess cloud integration was not on my side :c
The fastest modernization of all time. Initially i was going to add Azimuth shielding, but those don't even work, so i had to settle for just the new angle blocks(which were just released in heavy armor version) and new guns. Also managed to shed some more mass.
I'm havin' trouble finding a skybox I really like. There are lots of pretty ones, and lots of dark ones, but few that are both pretty and dark. I'm using one now that is just an expanse speckled with distant stars, and there is basically no light. That's cool. It makes putting lights on my ships and stations necessary, and I like that. Only problem is that I have no idea where the asteroids are now. There's just no way to find them, because they're totally invisible until you're directly on top of them, and even maximum strength spotlights can't see them very far away. I guess I can't really have my cake and eat it too, but that isn't stopping me from trying!
There are mods for spotlights to make them work as well spotlights.
How did I not think to look for that? Wow. Jeez. Wow. Well, that solves that problem.
Skyboxes like that don't really make sense. It's the asteroid belt we're talking about here, not the kuiper belt.
Skyboxes like that don't really make sense. It's the asteroid belt we're talking about here, not the kuiper belt.
It may not make sense but I've grown rather fond of my blue clouds and I enjoy the variety Also, I enjoy not needing sunglasses to build
Skyboxes like that don't really make sense. It's the asteroid belt we're talking about here, not the kuiper belt.
I don't really care about the lore, tbh. I just want to build things, mine big rocks, and figure my way around little challenges. Having to provide my own light adds a fun new element of survival.
Nobody seems to be interested and I've been waiting a half hour, so I'm gonna busy myself elsewhere.
are wheels in multiplayer not vibrating warpdrives now?
are wheels in multiplayer not vibrating warpdrives now?
If you're talking about my race thing, They're just normal space ships, no wheels. :v: [editline]Edited:[/editline] Though I may try and make a race car now.
Am i the first to think of using weapon red-dots as sonar? Also, finally finished my huge ship. It's kinda boxy because i rushed to get the exterior done, but i'll have a tour done tomorrow-ish.

I was thinking of that earlier, actually. It's a pretty good idea!
Isn't the range for those dots pretty limited though? Longer than spotlights can throw light, sure, but you wouldn't be able to find one when sailing through a black map.
Range is definitely long enough to be viable. I use them to paint a crosshair for my gravity cannon as well. :v:
Am i the first to think of using weapon red-dots as sonar?
imagine if our vessels weren't the space equivalent of biplanes and the devs were interested at all in coding avionics and detection systems
I wish we could set convergence on guns

Does multiplayer survival work pretty well yet? I've never tried it out, but I'm thinkin' of buying it for my girlfriend if it does.
Does multiplayer survival work pretty well yet? I've never tried it out, but I'm thinkin' of buying it for my girlfriend if it does.
Multiplayer in general is laggy as fuck, unless you like, live with her, I doubt you'll have an enjoyable experience.
I do, actually. Thanks for the tip, yo.
So I made a dropship to move around this car I made, and then I decided to make pods to attach to it, including Machine Guns, Rockets, A drill mechanism, A booster pack (You can't see in the picture but it has a lot of rockets on the extended wings), and a Gunship attachment, which is the booster pack but with machine guns on it. Then, I tried to lock it to itself, and it fits together perfectly: [IMG_thumb]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/34102761836219421/77813C71D0575C5274626214F363EB35BF4AD8FA/[/IMG_thumb] I made them merge perfectly unintentionally and it looks really cool, it reminds me of an MCV or ACV from Homeworld Cataclysm if anyone remembers those.
If there's one thing they need to add, it's the ability to change the settings of blocks you place. It would make everything so much easier if i could set color and intensity from my G menu, then place them with those exact settings without dealing with the fact that i have dozens of different sections that need different colors and they're disorganized in the control panel.

anyone else having an issue with the advanced rotors where they just don't give a fuck about rotation limits and go straight past them??
