Speaking of timer blocks, I can't seem to trigger a block through the button panel. Is that a bug, or am I doing something wrong? (I've assigned "trigger now" to a button)
Is Nickel a naturally rare mineral?
Nah you probably just really really need it at the moment.
I was playing with my friends yesterday (hosted on a dedicated server) and I hit my friend with a drill and everyone died and kept instantly dying until I restarted the server. When the server came back up all player placed objects had been deleted (our bodies and terrain modifications were still there though). Is this a common problem? Cause it was pretty infuriating and I don't really want to play again until it's fixed.
Anyone have any tips on making a ship not look like ass?
BEZELS MORE BEZELS NACELLES SPIKY THINGS
Is Nickel a naturally rare mineral?
Look for it anywhere you find iron, it's usually nearby. Anyone know if the conveyor system prioritizes arc furnaces over refineries? If not, is there a way to make it do that?
So this game is on sale. I want to buy it for the multiplayer but I heard it was trash for it, and only good for singleplayer. I will def buy it if it's like 75% off, is that even possible?

The game's a steal at 50% off, though.
space engineers is probably one of the only games on steam worth it at ANY price.
I wouldn't pay 60$ for Space Engineers.
My friend just bought a 4-pack of this game. We were trying to create this puny ship with one drill on it, but every time I tried to touch it, well it just smacked me and I went flying all over the place. It almost felt like I was playing Viscera instead :D [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8512731/Space%20Enginer/space.jpg[/t]
BEZELS MORE BEZELS NACELLES SPIKY THINGS
this is literally how to make things look like generic ass

There're tons of talented artists out there who do sci-fi concept art that I love to steal ideas from. [editline]15th December 2014[/editline] Also, this is a fun tool for figuring out color schemes: https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/ Complementary colors give contrast; analogous colors let you play with shading.
I wouldn't pay 60$ for Space Engineers.
you know what the fuck i mean. what the fuck was even the point of this?
you know what the fuck i mean. what the fuck was even the point of this?
I took it literal. I suppose you may have meant that it is worth it at current base price, sale or no.
I wouldn't pay 60$ for Space Engineers.
it's $10 right now, so get it while you can.
But considering that true christmas sale begins on 18th, wouldn't it be better to wait until then?
it's $10 right now, so get it while you can.
I already have owned it for the past year. Today my ship phased through the starting base two, and then started colliding too late. Resultingly, chaos. [t]http://i.imgur.com/0cn4Bbm.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/oPMlp7g.png[/t]
But considering that true christmas sale begins on 18th, wouldn't it be better to wait until then?
yeah this why I'm holding back waiting for a 75% off sale

It's just the large blue starter ship.
yeah this why I'm holding back waiting for a 75% off sale
for what it's worth, its normal price is fine and it's worth the money
So a gravity cannon showed up on the SE subreddit recently I have been working at making it smaller and more efficient, seems to have a rather limited range but it is horrifically powerful with claims it can cut through 83 layers of heavy armor, the best i have gotten is 24 layers of continues armor. I built a compact version and threw it up on th workshop I seem to get the best results with 20k worth of stone.
How do people get gravity cannons to even work? Every single time I've tried, the projectile just disappears. I've tried using rubble and torpedoes and I've only ever had one success, ever. Does the game just despawn fast things or something?
It's just the large blue starter ship.
Well its modified now.

Only a single block too
Use a blast door on the end of a artificial mas/reactor. Only a single block too
I'm doing something different,I'm using a connector to feed stones into a gravitational containment field and then using a mass of gravity generators to fire them .

Hover tanks! it took a great deal of planning and plotting to create a tank with a good balance of good looks and functionality and i think i've finally got it! composed entirely out of heavy armor, it has no light armor anywhere at all, it is a very heavy thing but my god i love the hovering technique! it can move so fast if it wants to! out of all the things that i put on this tank, the hovering was the least bothersome! sure it took a while to set up but it was all just so utterly logical and works great! you should definitly give it a go! Inside you have (listed from the rear to front) up and down thruster, (and maneuvering thrusters for side movement hidden behind the hovering... .. things..) battery storage, the gunner/observer cockpit, the engine bay, the drivers cockpit and finally a medium cargo container. most of the work went on to figuring out how to fit all that inside a tank that needs to have a low profile. many a prototypes where strewn across the practicing fields afterwards. i also slapped a bunch of sensors on there meant to warn the driver with sound blocks and a blinking red light if someone approached but i didn't get it to work. it's on there though. If i do get it to work i will also need a right/left/rear/front sound for the sound block so i can know where the enemy is coming from. there are of course cameras stuck on the outside as well as that small turret on top so you're not left completely in the dark in there. Since this is all you see from the gunner/observer cockpit. [t]http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/32980569740783488/A2C0AE3563FBC36860BBDDCF523C1B0FD7FB126F/[/t]
I really, really want more modded guns. Most specifically, I want this fucking beauty: The GSh-23 The principle of this motherfucker is that it has near enough the rate of fire of a gatling cannon, but requires no external power, has higher initial firepower (due to no spool), and doesn't waste ammo at end of spool. It uses the gast gun idea, where the recoil from one barrel operates the other's mechanical bits. It was used by second generation Mig 21s, Su-17s, and Su-25s. gib nau. edit: On another semi-obvious note I might aswell say, it's a 23 MM cannon, for replacement of the NR-23. edit2: alluhsnackbar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6jTWOcd8VM
