No.
Multiplayer is too unstable.
fuck, they really did fix the floating point bullshittery. I just flew 100km away and everything is still perfectly in place and isn't parkinsons simulator anymore.
is anyone else having problem with the workshop? it just says it can't find what i'm searching for.
and all i did was choose world in the filter...

flunky missbehaving workshop.
But luckily i subscribed to this thing yesterday so i can still leave this link here.

It's that walker that Extro made up there.
We need to study this thing. pick it apart! learn its secrets.
So I just had an entire ship disappear it approached a station and was going to ram it then it just blinked out of existence.
You somehow created the first warp drive in this game. Congratulations!
Just saw the biggest cunt of space engineers.
A guy that doesnt play creative, has mostly played survival and made 1 large large ship about 200-300m long.
I was in a mp server when this guy joined, and I let him see my modular cargo ship which can at later times in survival add more parts to make it better.
Before I got him on a tour of its interior, he asks. Is it made in survival? I said then that I am designing it in creative to later build it in survival for exploration.
He responds with: Not impressed. Its shit.
The ship is my latest creation. A cargo ship with 2 forward landing spots, full conveyor system 2 rocket launchers and 2 gatling turrets on the forward main module with the bridge.
The main module can also can connect 2 large cargo containers.
The main module also has 3 large escape pods that work which can fit 12 people in total.
Made them out of batteries, merge blocks, beacons, brake thrusters, gyros, and mass blocks + ofc seats and controlling seats.
Then Theres also the rear bigger module which can have 6 more cargo containers that are all connected with conveyors to the main body that has central refineries.
There is also crew areas and a gravity drive there.
All the cargo containers can be individually detached and re-attached because of use of merge blocks and connectors.
I wasnt going to show my ship here before it was released but I think I have to so I am:

Its the ship I am going to be trying to build next time we get a space engineers survival server again.
'Not made in survival therefore shit'
What a weird breed of elitism
[editline]I ain't got time to merge[/editline]
Like seriously the only difference between a ship made in creative and a ship made in survival is the amount of time sunk into it, what the hell

I really like the industrial look your ship has.
Multiplayer is funny.
I was playing using VPN with a friend down the road and a friend in Canada. The Canadian ha a better connection.. This was a long time ago so I don't know how multiplayer stacks up at the moment but as long as their was only 3 or 4 of us, it was always perfectly playable. Though all we did was build small ships and an asteroid station.

Find a cool ship on DA and then just browse the related stuff, there's buckets of cool ships to find
Or just go here and keep scrolling
When the page ends just click on the previous month and repeat
why do you even give a fuck what some rando thinks
i agree with lex, it's just some sperg who thinks his own designs are superior to everyone else's
i had a friend who did the same to me in minecraft, so i blew his shit up when he wasn't around.
Even if it's some random guy saying it. It can still take some of the joy away from your creations.
Build another ship like it, lie to him and say you built it in survival, watch him think its amazing
Build another ship like it, lie to him and say you built it in survival, watch him think its amazing
Nah let him flounder in his innability to produce ships and experiment in a timely manner, helikely cant even produce anything creative.
just think how much trial and error it takes to come up with a cool and functional design, i almost always start with one general shape based on something i found on google, scrap it, try again but different, repeat until it works or i find a better shape. in the end i'll have something that's a mixture of all the previous attempts.
Considering how much time even that takes it must take absolute ages to do the same in survival.
It's okay if you feel like making a cool looking ship in survival and not use blue prints for it! good job if you succeed! but consider using creative to.. you know.. excercise your creative mind and figure out what can or can't be done.
I was hoping that kind of elitism wouldn't occur in space engineers. so far it seems to be a completely okay community. but then again i haven't played multiplayer yet. and i've heard some bad stories..
I made this in survival.

I haven't really ventured into the SE community outside of FP, but it doesn't seem to be very good. It looks like it's attracted the same demographic as Minecraft, maybe a bit older, but they still seem to be obnoxious nonetheless.
In other news, I've been wanting to make a vertically-oriented ship for some time now, and the new globular cockpits on the workshop gave me an excuse to make one:
what are you using to keep it on track and propel it?
The rails are made from catwalks inserted inside ladder shaft things and it moves (very slowly) with mass blocks and a grav gen.

This thing looked neat but was never used because the other 3 VHFs were better.

huh, double post
Looks like one of the Advent Titans from SOASE
The resemblance to the Advent Titan might be less than coincidence, since I briefly played that game a while ago, but not really in any form other than inspiration of vague shape.

The people spamming "batteries" on his workshop page probably aren't helping.
Ok, so I'm going through the mod's comment page:
The Paladin [author] Dec 19 @ 6:01pm
There's a difference between being inspired and plagiarism. Make your own shields with your own models, textures, collisions, coding, names, and whatever. Do not use my models or textures. Thank you for your *required* cooperation on this matter.

The Paladin [author] Dec 19 @ 5:53pm
I made this mod because I wanted shields, the community has literally nothing to do with why I mod. It does however have a bit of blame as to why I am leaving this game. As to copyright, you really don't know how this works do you? It is my intellectual property, and according to the steam terms of service, it is my right to do with it as I please. It is not Keen's copyright, because I did not consent to giving them the models or textures for use in their game. Nor will I ever.
Do not reupload this mod in any way without my express signed consent, preferably in letter form. Failure to do so means you are in violation of the steam terms of service. Bye.

The Paladin [author] Dec 19 @ 4:01pm
Cambo this is a game. I made art assets for this game. Those art assets are protected under something called "copyright". This "copyright" allows me to choose wether or not to allow people to use the things I create.
So, please, learn that this is a modification for a game, and that in real life those theories of yours don't work either. People who make stuff get rights over the stuff they make, so that people know who made them. Whereas people like you, the lazy and inconsiderate, would take someone else's hard worked creation and market it for everyone to copy.
Get off your lazy ass and do it then! Prove me wrong! Make a shield that anyone can upload without your consent and take credit for! I bet it would make you feel so happy!

The Paladin [author] Dec 18 @ 4:10pm
If i get 50 thousand people to comment "Batteries" on this I will come back. until then, peace!
I decided to not remove the mod, just the blocks. Bye.

The Paladin [author] Dec 17 @ 8:59pm
I gave you a week to remove the mod from your builds. I'm moving on from this and taking my ip with me. Thank you for your concern, but I am not rallying or crying for keen to change. I have been here long enough to know that isn't the case. I'm just moving on and wasting no more time with this company. So while I do publicly denounce the game I modded for, I am not breaking your games, nor am I vying for attention. I am simply giving my reasons.
The game has been in alpha for over a year. From what I've seen from my experience in the Closed Testing Group, it may be another two until beta.
Paladin Industries is ceasing development for this game and it's company for all aforementioned reasons in the comments and otherwise.

The Paladin [author] Dec 16 @ 10:56pm
By bowing out now I'm not wasting another year with keen's horrible business model and game. You just seem to have a problem with dealing with my opinion. That is not my fault, nor my problem.
Maybe if I saw something on your workshop I would be a bit more inclined to see your opinion but alas you are no modder; and therefore you lack the experience to say whether I know something or not. Please don't put words into my mouth or claim to know exactly how I think.
On top of this, for the upteenth time, I have been modding for this game for over a year. I have been close to the developers. They do not want to take it out of alpha. They do not intend to change modding in a way to allow custom functionality. They refuse to add documentation. I have a legitimate opinion here backed up by facts and logic, and you come along with multiple logical fallacies in your arguments. Ad hominem, straw man, and appeal to pity logical fallacies used. This is the last response your comments dignify.

The Paladin [author] Dec 15 @ 9:53pm
I'm quite calm. Keen is ignorant. I have been here for over a year. Keen has no intention on fixing deep-rooted bugs in their "new" engine (it is their last game's engine but with block building capabilities), optimization issues with lights, asteroids, LOD, etc. on top of this, whenever these issues were brought to the attention of keen, they were ignored entirely. Instead of fixing these issues, they continue to release "updates" that fix a few things, add a block, and break ten more things.
I was kicked out for bringing this to their attention. They said they wanted nothing negative said about the game, and that no one in the ctg should think this way. I am leaving because my talents are better suited elsewhere, preferably where the developers actually care to fix and finish the game.
Seems like he's mad at Keen because they broke his mod and aren't listening to modder feedback? Earlier comments than the ones shown here (I don't want to make a bigger wall of text) seem to indicate that he's unsatisfied with what Keen has done so far for modders.
To be honest, I can kind of see where he's coming from, but the way he's handling this whole fucking thing is silly.
It's a pretty petulant attitude, quite literally like picking your ball up and going home because you're not winning. It's like he feels keen owes him something for making a mod for the game.
I mean, they've made a start with mod support, and with the planned features, exploration and AI and that, it might be that they're waiting till they've expanded the game before adding more stuff for modders.
