He did. good riddance though, one less entitled whiner whos the imaginary ceo of an inaginary "company" and thus superior to the scheming space peasants, who just exist to steal his hard work. [editline]21st December 2014[/editline] pftahahaha, sombody already reuploaded the old shield mod, along with some real copyright info. Fuck.
wow what a pussy Speaking of which, I just got banned from the only creative server I could find, just for flying the space sleigh around and spreading holiday cheer.
He caved in and removed it. Fuck.
someone throw it up again but more outrageously, on a dummy account
I love space engineers but the community is turning into minecraft 2.0. All these fucking autists, 12 year olds, and cry babies.... fuck's sake.
as long as they don't come here..
IIRC one of the internal testers said they fixed a bug, and Paladin was so upset because the shield used that bug. Whoops :v:
I love space engineers but the community is turning into minecraft 2.0. All these fucking autists, 12 year olds, and cry babies.... fuck's sake.
I like playing many games in singleplayer but not multiplayer because of the cancerous community. GMod for example: I enjoy it alone, but when I go on a sandbox server it's full of copypasted content from the workshop, kids begging for admin rights and assholes who are there just to kill people and delete their creations. (Also workshop is full of minecraft characters having sex and addon cars) And yes, this isn't only sandbox games. WoW and Dota 2 communities are more mature but still selfish elitists who only care for their own loot/kills/whatever.
I remember before the gmod workshop, or even toybox, when people actually built stuff in sandbox, and it was the greatest thing ever. I got into a nice sandbox server with nice admins, a nice community, and became a regular, and it was great. One of the admins was a 7 year old girl who tought me how to wiremod and introduced me to minecraft, back when it was alpha. Damn... those were the days.
Damn... those were the days.
Then that gmod update that broke everything temporarily and barely improved on stuff happened. A similar server I was on was killed off then because of that. After that gmod was dead to me and still is.
IIRC one of the internal testers said they fixed a bug, and Paladin was so upset because the shield used that bug. Whoops :v:
"I DONT LIKE THE DIRECTION THIS GAME IS GOING IN" -manchild who's bitching because his mod was broken because the bug it was based on was fixed
Then that gmod update that broke everything temporarily and barely improved on stuff happened. A similar server I was on was killed off then because of that. After that gmod was dead to me and still is.
My server died off far before that, but right before said update, I started playing sandbox again and made a few really sick steampunk airships with just hl2 props and wiremod thrusters, no soulless E2 or anything. [t]http://i.imgbox.com/lKgn9Z6F.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgbox.com/qiZo5ihK.jpg[/t] But enough gmod nostalgia, Ima build a christmas mothership.
So, his mod was dependent on the exploitation of a glitch? Which one? Can someone explain to me how his shit worked, and if it's possible to recreate the mod?
"I DONT LIKE THE DIRECTION THIS GAME IS GOING IN" -manchild who's bitching because his mod was broken because the bug it was based on was fixed
I made a Cortex Command mod that relied on a bug. When that bug was patched I just re-did the mod. I highly doubt its impossible to make a re-charging shield via a different method.

[t]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v45/Zero_Point/gm_flatgrass0004.jpg[/t] I was gonna flesh out the interior and then an update happened that made the whole thing black-hole in on itself. :/
The things I would love to see in this game is a changeable terminal velocity, Torquing thrusters and bi-directional thrusters, and tractor beams.
Tractor beams are too sci-fi. Grappling hooks. Or more accurately, winches. You make your own damn hook.
Harpoons>hooks Damn I havent weapoonized anything not intended as a weapon in a while.
The things I would love to see in this game is a changeable terminal velocity, Torquing thrusters and bi-directional thrusters, and tractor beams.
I'd just love to be able to ocntrol thrusters on the other end of rotors from within the cockpit
Tractor beams are too sci-fi. Grappling hooks. Or more accurately, winches. You make your own damn hook.
But but tractor beams were proven to be possible. Not in space (yet) so surely it fits in SE's scope? Grappling hooks would be cooler though.
I still regularly play GMOD and help some friends run a server. It's an ACF (Armored Combat Framework) server mostly designed for tank combat, but sometimes we do other shit like sea battles or airships (love those steampunk airships, that's exactly what we go for). I love GMOD, I love sandboxes, and I love tank combat. Which is why I am so conflicted about E2: it really is too powerful (applyforce/applyangforce) and it often makes people lazy, and I say that while using those very same features on vehicles I build. Thankfully Space Engineers programming will have to use in-game blocks to interact with the game world. It should go a long way to stopping it from reaching E2 levels of insanity.
Made a repeating torpedo loader, its seems stable enough I have to reload the blue print everytime but i think thats a glitch works well with thruster and grav based torpedoes.
How about electromagnets?
That'll do. I'm imagining something like auto-locking landing gear with attractive forces. Instead of tractor beams I want someone to make a tractor that shoots beams.
Looking for investors at all?
Id totally throw in some money if only just for the hope of playing this in a few months.
Oh dear I appear to have broken the thread. We're talking about Space Engineers. Just focus on 1:36-1:40.
