God dammit, can someone tell Keen how fucking idiotic it is that the "export model" function is bound to Ctrl+E? Considering that if you want to rotate yourself while holding a line of blocks to spawn, you're going to press it every goddamn time you want to rotate clockwise? If there was a way to bind it to another key I wouldn't mind, but I don't see it in the keybinding options menu.
One workaround could be to set line placement to be done by default, that way you're using shift to place squares and individual blocks can be placed easily enough.

You can change that in the game options, individual placement still works fine and then it's just holding shift for a plane
or the space kraken video
by the time thats done SE will probably be released.
Part of the reason this is taking so long was because survival was released, with grinders, and components, and the inventory, and it completely threw me off. (Also, I couldn't even record anything until multiplayer was released)
The kraken was supposed to be a salvage ship, which I made using drills and arms and stuff before salvage was actually a thing, so I had to extend the video so it made sense. It would cut open ships and rip out vital components because I thought that might be something like what it'd be in the future, but instead you just shove everything into a magic grinder. I got disenfranchised and it took me a while to figure out what to do with my giant useless kraken monster, but that's no longer an issue.
The video is now 3-4x longer and larger than it was, with something of a story, and includes a punch-up in space. This station is part of the video.
But I think they want everyone working with them to live in the same country.
I don't think I'm prepared to Czech.
Just shallowly intersect some spheres with the asteroid and then subtract them like in a boolean operation? Seems simple enough to me.
That is simple. I neglected to give it more than 2 seconds of thought.
aaawwwww yiss
So i needed something less complicated, cheaper and smaller than the four industrial vehicles i made.
And this thing came out of it. on its own it's a simple junk lifter. on the bottom though it can merge together with those tools over there! works well as a bridge between the Fatasses and using your hands.

The question is what the hell should i call it?
preferably something that can be abbreviated into 3 letters.
Something mentioning tool.
Simple Adjustable Tool?
How does ATV sound like? Adjustable Tool Vehicle.

what FTL mod?
i think he means this

I hope whatever FTL drive or system we get that it still has some travel time so its not just instant. Means raiding is risky since you have to leave your base open, and calling for reinforcements still means you spend a few minutes under attack.
I even think having lightable homing beacons for the FTL drives is a neat idea, that way you can set them with different permissions and all. Also a neat effect when a ship drops out of warp would be hella cool, either a subtle thump or a shockwave

The FTL Mod? That just teleports you 30km forward.
Oh shit I should have read more.

i rigged it for ultra fast spool time and as long distance as it can go, at the expense of accuracy of the jump point. With two drives running one after another i can maintain a 33 km/s average velocity

This is where spaceships go to die.
I got a challenge for ya I have an ancient heavily armored battleship if you are up for testing its capacity.
I got a challenge for ya I have an ancient heavily armored battleship if you are up for testing its capacity.
The arms' surfaces are only 2 layers of heavy armour, so its capacity isn't terribly high to begin with.
aren't wheels pretty capable of dealing with bumps? you could cover the arms with those
It brings back fond memories of me and my brothers going to the store to recycle cans and bottles we would find everywhere.
just needs that delicious metallic chrunching sound!

I am going to try and build something like that tonight.
Also, for anyone that wants a construction ship, this is a pretty cool model too:

someone when programming is more advanced needs to make a robotic arm that automatically welds or grinds things in a certain area, and one for docking with connectors

There was talks of that a page or two ago! I barely understood any of it, so much math, so much code, but i think the general conclusion was that it's possible already!
