Then, when the blade is dulled, eject it and push it out with the new blade behind it!
i wouldn't trust landing gear to not explode, merge block maybe?
Welders behind armor has never worked better, probably should try having a set of welders protected behind the blade that repair it all the time.

I made a ship built for high speed ramming last night, the idea was that the front would have 20 block thick heavy armor and would blast a hole big enough for the ship to sail through effortlessly. I don't see why they should, the most a uranium reactor might do is shoot coolant at high pressure in a beautiful semi radioactive space rainbow. [editline]9th January 2015[/editline] Come to think of it, despite the fact that they hum, I would speculate that the mechanism for generating electricity must be thermoelectric in nature? The reactors don't seem to have any kind of moving electricity generating component(s).

is there ANYthing in space engineers that might produce a pretty explosion (apart from explosives and warheads) like thrusters! surely they could explode in a phenomenal blue explosion as all that blue stuff combusts at once. That would be annoying though since you usually place thruster together and i wouldn't want all my thrusters to go fuck in some... absolutely spectacular chain mechanism or would i?

once the ramming blade head thing is pushed forward it should disconnect with the pistons and instead attach to other merge blocks on the ship. thus when it gets dull and destroyed you discard it, quickly build a new one and bring that forth for more action! Since most ships my friends build are in creative, the only way of doing damage is ramming into them at 100m/s. [/QUOTE] I decided to just scrap the pistons and just go with one big ass knife that you have to manually adjust instead of using pistons. It would be glorious to fire a torpedo into a massive flagship and watch the reactors explode along the length of the vessel.

In my logs it crashes with something dx related but reinstalling directx does not fix it, only verify local content. Makes me feel the update didn't fully finish or something.

Also is there some kind of mod from a small refinery/assembler? Starting out without a refinery and assembler means it is impossible to do anything until you find a ship to tear down for the said parts and it's tedious to find any playermade ships. Though you do find cool shit every now and then.

I asked him and he said he may try to build a more complex mechanism wherein the probes mine their own ores and produce the necessary materials to self replicate if a few prerequisite programming additions are made
