My first ship made in Space Engineers.
Has storage in the back for a vehicle or storage for... shit.
Then it has a bunch of, thrusters; and shit.
Some more shit was put to it; even though that shit doesn't work yet. (weapons)

Technically you can, but the small ship is not effected by the large ship's gravity or inertia or anything, so when the large ship accelerates, the small ship will smash around like a pinball. If you are really careful, you could place the small ship on the rear wall of the large ship's hold/hangar and accelerate really gently, but you'd have to go to the small ship and reposition it on the front wall for deceleration. Also you cannot turn the ship during this maneuver.
Couldn't you just surround the thing in landing gears?

Does anyone else get a low framerate on easy world 2? My hardware exceeds the recommended hardware.

Easy start 2 has a memory leak on one of the asteroids apparently so that is what causes a lot of frame rate issues on that world.
Thing is, it lags immediately upon starting it. Or is the problem [i]that[/i] bad? A friend claims his hardware handles it fine.

They are until the blocks around it are destroyed.
The non-block items seem to do more damage than the armor when crashing into things, especially the antenna.

The antennas are basically indestructanble, if they don't make them destroy way faster then ships can easily become indestructable by having them be placed on top of the hull everywhere.
Bad builders, do not despair, when online comes out we will be sufficient as crew members.

This isn't true, I tested it specifically when trying different kind of rammer ship designs. Non-armor blocks have "hp", which decreases on collision, and when it reaches zero they just disappear.
By the way, I remember reading somewhere that non-armor block destruction is a WIP, so I'm expecting deformation (or gibs, that would probably be even more cool) enabled on them :v:

I want it to be possible to be impaled by shards of antenna that break off of large ships in high speed collisions. That would be so damn cool.
Antennas make good ramming objects eh?

The only time non-armor items are great, in my experience, is when they're employed on space stations. All the rest of the time, they're rather mediocre.

Now I have a million ideas involving space stations.
I can't wait for the stage where they have rotater nodes, though.
Then someone could make centrifuges, the spinning space station from 2001: A Space Odyssey and possibly a few engines from a certain ship that is classified by a fly that is on fire and is named after a certain valley.

I think it's hypnotizing because it's a perfect loop.
The smallest ship design i could make, I call it the escape pod. It will fit into a one-block space on stations and big ships. If held in place by putting blocks around it it doesn't move, at least in my testing.

Then this is my current project, I call it the Hunchback. Since when I am done a large hangar for escape pods or assault pods or just docking for ships will be on top. It will have a forward facing exit If I put fighters in there or just side facing "launch" tubes for escape pods.
