Battles like that? There'l be more fleets than there are fps. I wonder how taxing a mid sized ship'd be if it were: Moving Firing weapons Full of crew, also in combat managing doors/lights/life support/misc systems commanding a five fighter squadron. That'd chug only one ship.

It seems fun enough to play around in for a bit and get used to how building works. Also, crashing space ships is always fun I didn't want to wait for cool features and then have the price raise, though I'm not sure if it will or not

Grappling hooks could hold the other ship in place as your pod flies right into it, rather than it dodging your pods. I mean that's just my concept of it

That's 2 birds with one stone right there; landing and salvage (3 for wrecking people's shit without wrecking one's own). A rather elegant-looking solution too imo.

I was hoping the large landing gear would be able to stick to other large ships.. Would be excellent for salvage operations, or boarding if done correctly. EDIT: Works on stations though, so there's that.
with this new functionality, I think I'd step away from using ships for ramming, but for boarding instead. so exciting, dock on the hull of a large ship and drill your way in unnoticed.
