Yeah but it doesn't let me place blocks that are more than like 1 inch into the asteroid. I've seen people place blocks that are almost completely buried into the asteroid.
make a drill ship to chisel out the rock where you want the block to go
On the issue of not needing small ships to move around big ships, I think there should definitely be an option to add some kind of.. creating device to ships to allow them to build the bigger ships faster than you could with jetpack alone. Eg, worker bees.
I still also want a option to weld the ship from any location and it would randomly complete blocks, that should be as fast as it could be built. + also that for multiplayer people should be able to stack the welding to make the process faster.
I think I have more fun making simpler, smaller more practical ships that you should be able to make reasonably in survival mp than huge show piece projects.
"does this rusty green texture make my ship any more efficient at killing than the glossy yellow?"
"Everybody knows that Dark Brown textures are harder."
They need to add zero gravity controls without jetpacks. I'm going for the realistic space station look--No sense of up or down.
imo it would be nice if there were a button to grab onto things like in a few other games, or even just handholds that act like ladders. i mean, for when you might not have a jetpack or it might otherwise be unavailable

Hello all, I've been lurking in this thread for a week or so now, and have enjoyed all of your creations immensely, So I thought I'd share what I've been working on since buying it on the 27th. It's a work in progress, not even half done, and I might be restarting it now that symmetry has been applied. It's roughly 714 blocks long. It was killing my fps but the new update has everything running smoothly again to, so the dreams not dead yet.
GOOD LORD. I'm sorry... That's... I... What... I give up. I'm done. I hope you're happy, because you've just won. I guess we can all go home now.

You guys ain't seen nothin yet... [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/577862299883793125/C2EF3831CC5D4A392A2A68B12BA3DBC0FCD5DA68/[/t] [t]http://cdn2.dualshockers.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/ObitalStation01.jpg[/t]
make a drill ship to chisel out the rock where you want the block to go
I literally cannot place blocks anywhere near an asteroid. I'd have to chisel the entire asteroid out of existence because the blocks don't clip at ALL.

I have to ask, has anyone made the bebop yet?
You guys ain't seen nothin yet... [t]http://cdn2.dualshockers.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/ObitalStation01.jpg[/t]
This image is my background. Kickass.
wow you even added a surfboard rack on top of it
It's actually quite smart, while your giant enemies are busy with the surfboard, you can hightail it to safety. Yeah, I'm not happy with that part of it yet. It's kept there as a placeholder until I figure out what I want to do with it.
Is it Klingon? Looks like the head and hull from one of the late game Birds of Prey in Star Trek Online.
Is it Klingon? Looks like the head and hull from one of the late game Birds of Prey in Star Trek Online.
Mine? No, it's an original design, that was a bit influenced by the Andromeda and a ship someone made for an EVE online contest. Designed it shortly before discovering Space Engineers, so I had to build it once I bought the game.
I remember trying to make a ship that looked like the Andromeda in Spacebuild. Ended up looking like a giant dick, but still.
I remember trying to make a ship that looked like the Andromeda in Spacebuild. Ended up looking like a giant dick, but still.
She is definitely not the easiest design to emulate that is for sure. Partly why I started to look elsewhere for inspiration to incorporate into the design. Everything was either looking way too much like Andromeda or just really ugly.

Please prove me wrong because I wanna seeeee
Ain't no god damn way you'll finish this. Please prove me wrong because I wanna seeeee
I'm right there with you. My plan is to basically finish as much of it as I can before the game breaks. I'm actually a lot more optimistic since the update seems to have fixed some memory leak that was killing my frame rate and causing the game to crash or freeze every few minutes. Game runs smoothly again, so we'll see how far I get.
someone needs to make a Romulan Warbird (ROMULANS ARE NOT ASSHOLES!) because damn I love the one I have in STO.
someone needs to make a Romulan Warbird (ROMULANS ARE NOT ASSHOLES!) because damn I love the one I have in STO.
There is a damn good reason they say to never trust a romulan bearing gifts.
someone needs to make a Romulan Warbird (ROMULANS ARE NOT ASSHOLES!) because damn I love the one I have in STO.
Which one? I fly a Ha'Feh, planning on upgrading to an Ar'Kif carrier soon.

I don't like a lot of Star Trek ships. They're ugly as dicks A lot of the federation ships look okay. The Bird of Prey's all right, but the rest are gross
Has the performance improved in the latest patch? I'd imagine that if a memory leak has been fixed, it might be possible to finish my ship.
Has the performance improved in the latest patch? I'd imagine that if a memory leak has been fixed, it might be possible to finish my ship.
Seems worse to me. In ramming two ships together I now get single digit framerates, freezes, and even crashes, when I didn't before.
