Mewtwoking going off like that in the Hungrybox match was great after such an intense match. He's the people's champ right now. [editline]7th September 2015[/editline] Final round, let's see if he can go the distance. [editline]7th September 2015[/editline] Aww.
That was a great Grand Finals. Right down to the last stock.
M2K vs mang0 is such a great matchup, it's definitely a representative showing of two masters at play against eachother.

Oh yeah, don't think it's been mentioned before but last week the file format for Smash 4 U was figured out and isn't that different from Brawl's, so the only things keeping a modding scene out of the picture now are updates patching out methods, net bans from the Nintendo Network and a higher difficulty in achieving the hacks.

never
There's no real point in a P:M2 to be honest. Although if this allows for custom music and skins without bans being thrown around, I'm certainly intrested.
The PMDT has already said they are not interested in [re]making a Meleesque game for the Wii U as they'd need to start pretty much from scratch again. (I don't realistically see Villager, Rosalina or Pac-Man working in a Melee gameplay format to begin with without a totally different moveset.) There will definitely be mods designed around making the game more competitive ala Brawl+ and ridiculous ala Brawl-, but if there is a mod that retools the characters to be based on a previous game, I assume it would actually be based on SSB64 since the mechanics of that game lend really well to the movesets of Smash 4 while still making it aggressive.

I think overall the updates the game have been given have led to a general increase of speed and combos in the competitive scene, so hopefully that continues. That being said the first modder to implement a form of blockstun on shield will have my unyielding love.
adding more shieldstun would make sonic fucking awful to play against
i felt real bad for the marth missing his shieldbreak punish but that taunt at the end was 100% necessary

Little Mac and Dr. Mario need to have a usable recovery. Remove some super armor from the former if necessary, but they shouldn't have to play a different game from everyone else in Smash 4. Roy is the absolute worst an up B should be in a game with recoveries like Rob's, Villager's and Luigi's.
doc's recovery is sufficient, as long as you don't waste your second jump and learn to mash downb. he also has a wall jump for those omega stages still, the second worst in the game
doc's recovery is sufficient, as long as you don't waste your second jump and learn to mash downb. he also has a wall jump for those omega stages still, the second worst in the game
It's so linear though. Anybody with a sex kick and decent recovery can gimp him without much effort.
It's a shame Doc is such trash for comp, I dig the doctor outfit a lot.
It's so linear though. Anybody with a sex kick and decent recovery can gimp him without much effort.
actually upb has such a massive hitbox in front of it that catch most people offguard when they go off stage to gimp doc

Most people's opinions goes the same way, I think Zero summed it up well: "pick Mario and wait for the buffs". ..should there ever be buffs. Because honestly I'm still waiting for both the Doc and Palutena. I'm mostly a Doc main but I know that should I get into serious competitive play, I'd either use my other mains (Luigi, Wario, eventually Pikachu) or switch to Mario. My primary reason for picking the Doc in the first place is that I can't stand Mario's Down B :v: I also really like the aesthetics of the character but that doesn't matter at all. What I don't agree with is that most people want Dr.Mario at the very bottom of the tier list. He doesn't belong there at all, he may lack combo ability and a good recovery (to clarify, his recovery is decent but most charcters outclass him) but he still hits very hard and has potential if used properly. The character's not initially flawed like Palutena is.
but doc has a great combo game because he still has mario's frame data but hits twice as hard mario's combos are for the most part vertical while doc's are horizontal: nair and bair are excellent followups after dthrow. zero was plain wrong stating that doc lacks strings and such, especially when he tried to apply mario's combos to doc when they're two completely different things

Nintendo is capable of constantly patching out every single possibility of doing any decent modding, and knowing how they react to Project M, they'll likely do that. But regardless, it's nice to hear that it's somewhat more easy than was expected.
