(VaBengal and Boss are some of the best players of that region). [sp]Check out that bell combo in the second video 3:50[/sp]
Seeing this makes me sad that Wolf is not in Smash 4.
give it a few months
...or, possibly September 30th if we get more DLC on the same day beyond just the Mario Maker stage.
I'm still optimistic that Wolf will be eventually added without help of the ballot.
mark my words, wolf will be added within the end of october
So I tried For Glory on the DS version last night. And I thought I was good at Link.
I'm still optimistic that Wolf will be eventually added without help of the ballot.
I hope that is the case, and, if not, I know that Wolf is doing good in the ballot (Last I checked, he was either third or fourth worldwide and second in Japan.), so he might return regardless. Speaking of which, why did they remove Wolf and (originally) Lucas? I can understand the Ice Climbers, since the 3DS couldn't handle them, but why Wolf and Lucas?
Time constraints, most likely.
I don't think so, I remember hearing that they plan out every character that is going to be in the game before they even start actually developing it, so they originally planned for Wolf and Lucas to not be in the game.
Well it was pretty weird for them to not come back. The only characters that were dropped for legitimate reasons are: - Pichu (joke character), - Young Link (replaced with Took Link), - Ice Climbers (hardware issues), - Snake (Konami are dicks), - Pokémon Trainer (Charizard became independent and is somewhat relevant in the current gen). Dr.Mario, Roy and Mewtwo were planned for Brawl if I recall, as there were files for them in the game. And in any case, all three are in Smash 4. (Dr.Mario since release, Mewtwo planned since release but released later, Roy released regardless of ballot results) I think they stated Lucas was added back due to fan demand, so I wonder why he was removed in the first place. That leaves Wolf. Unless they planned to release him along with Starfox Zero (which is going to take a REALLY long time if that's the case since the game was delayed), I really have no idea why they would remove him. I doubt it's time constraints. I'm more surprised that ROB returned and that they added a third character from the Famicom era, honestly. I guess they planned on cutting as less characters as possible, but it's still sad to see Squirtle and Ivysaur go :'(
Blegh, do any of you have any experience with Brawl stage mods? I'm trying to replace a model but it keeps freezing the game

That being said I miss Ivysaur too. Squirtle, not so much, but I loved playing as Ivysaur. I kind of wish they gave both of them the same treatment as Charizard, though, but I can understand why they didn't. (Pokemon would then have 8 representative, more then even the Mario series if you don't count Yoshi, Wario, DK, and Diddy.)
hey i finally got a Wii U :toot: My NNID is the same as my FP name
Blegh, do any of you have any experience with Brawl stage mods? I'm trying to replace a model but it keeps freezing the game
You might need a .rel module file. If you're replacing say, battlefield with a stage mod intended to go over final destination, it will crash unless you generate a new .rel file here and put it in your pf/module folder. That might not be it, but it could be. Also if your mod came with a .rel of its own, just put it in the module folder.

I've followed a guide and it shows up just fine in BrawlBox, it just doesn't work ingame
I'm more surprised that ROB returned
Idk why people think ROB was chopfodder, he's pretty important to Nintendo and has cameo'd in multiple series including Mario Kart as a playable character. Zero Suit Samus, Sheik, Toon Link and Ike were likely closer to the chopblock than R.O.B. was.
Sheik more likely than ROB? I would have to disagree. Everyone else, sure. Especially Toon Link.
Twilight Princess Sheik isn't even a real character. :| The only Sheik is from Ocarina of Time. Of those, I do agree Sheik was the least likely to be cut but I think that replacing her with Impa makes more sense, especially since Skyward Sword's design fits perfectly and they already redesigned her moveset and separated moveset ties from Zelda, anyway.

She has longer history with Smash in general and she's one of the most popular competitive characters. (notice how she's the only character in your list who was in Melee) Literally the only other character in the entire franchise that has been cut while also appearing in the same amount of games as her (or more) that were cut, were Ice Climbers, and they were an exception for obvious reasons.

What those people didn't realize is that Ike and Roy are completely different characters. It was a good day when Sakurai revealed Radiant Dawn Ike.
People thought Ike was going to get cut was because they thought Chrom/Awakening rep was going to replace him.
It's going to get pretty interesting when they actually have to add another Fire Emblem rep in the future. Can't cut Marth, the series icon. Roy's the Smash fan favorite. Ike has a unique moveset. Robin uses magic. [sp]Lucina is already doomed[/sp] It'd be kind of weird to have 5 Fire Emblem non-clone reps assuming those four return, and even if they do make it 5, they'd need to figure out what to do with those five when the smash after that arrives. Realistically Marth is the only FE character that needs to remain but considering the Fates lords don't work anything like the Awakening avatars, it's going to be a tough pick unless they feel like having even more roster bloat than currently exists.
Smash 4 only had 3 FE characters at launch. Marth, Ike, Robin and a last second costume. They won't have all of Smash 4 content's at launch for Smash 5 anyways, they can add things later.
I feel like teams is generally underrated in competitive smash bros, or at least the tech-heavy ones, SSBM and SSBPM. I mean, afterall we got wombo combo from them.

I managed to get the model in, but now the env map's busted No idea how to fix this
