Whoever it is. I'll be happy that we get a new character. Will I be disappointed if it is someone I don't care for? Yes I will. But hey a new character is a new character and I will be happy for it. If the inklings get in I bet the people complaining would still buy them.

I would rather wait till the next game for the Inklings. They're a pretty popular choice in both Japan and here in the West but I would rather have them get custom moves to showcase the various weapon types the game has to offer. If they are included with this game I'll settle with a stage based on the final boss level with a variety of music.

tbh, I don't care who gets in, so long as they have a fun moveset. I'm not much of a console player; all I've played in a long time is Nintendo consoles, and even then I don't get a lot of games for them, so I don't know 90% of the characters they could be adding anyways. So long as it's someone fun, I'm good. That said I want Inklings because Inklings have a lot of potential for an interesting moveset.

People like to throw counters out when you're approaching from below, they treat is as a catch all for any of your moves. If you know this, you can punish it pretty severely. It's important however to make your opponent think that their counter is going to confirm every time. In the video, I up throw him like 4-5 times, and hit his counter once. This is important because A) I'm conditioning him to think I'm just gonna up throw everytime B) because I hit his counter once, he think it's going to hit again. In this case, I punish with a rest which is obviously very Puff centric. If you're another character such as Mario you could get another U-Air or two in, or if they're on high percents maybe a B-Air. This is just one situation where you can punish like this, if they're throwing out counters when they're coming in from the ledge then let them do it a few times, and punish it at the moment that you really need to. In high level play this is a lot harder to do, and you'll probably only get one punish off of a missed counter once over your set. But that one punish can be the difference between a lost and a won set so it's worth being patient for, and setting up as optimally as you can. If you're a character with a counter (in non-FG play), my advice is to literally counter only if you're directly in the middle of a combo string e.g. Mario's U-Airs on Battlefield. Or, if your opponents recovery also has hurt boxes, dropping down and countering can be a cheeky 👌 way of taking a stock from someone. But as before, only do these sporadically at random moments. If your opponent reads your counter properly, you might as well SD to save them doing it for you.

I've been playing Ganondorf for a long time. Loooong time. I have trouble fighting faster characters with Ganondorf, and I'm not sure how to deal with them. I also have trouble fighting against Dedede in general. Does anyone have general advice for solutions on this?

I have to say I completely underestimated the popularity of K Rool till I saw various poll results. I think he was even high up in some of the Japanese polls.

K. Rool is popular in Japan thanks to DK64 and those weird 90's cartoons. I seriously doubt he'll be the one in, but he's more asked for than you'd think.

Sean is just some guy who makes art with Omni on Smashified. Why would he know anything? It's somehow easy to become knowledgeable of the new character- several people on twitter have claimed to see it, even a close friend of mine (and no, I won't bother getting it out of her). Still, we'll be finding out this month, so I don't know why the majority of the community is trying to harass people.

The thing is that I really doubt that if that many people have seen it, none of them are willing to leak it. With the history of leaks in Smash, especially this game alone, I just find it kind of hard to believe.
