However, i am glad Smash 4 has superceded it on the entrants list, because there is simply more variety, and so much left unexplored among the 53 characters.

It only surpassed it by ~60 entrants. And despite that, I believe Melee will still be much more popular viewer-wise.

If Smash 4 doesn't start getting more patches I don't know how much longer it'll continue to have more variety than Melee. Sheik is blatantly the best character in the game and once people realize that picking her is going to pretty much increase their chances of winning tenfold (like Zero does) it's gonna start getting real boring real quickly.

Just look at Diddy's fall from grace Huh, apparently Sheik's ranked 6th on EventHubs, under Rosalina, Roy, Yoshi, Ness, and Pikachu. Is Ness really better than Sheik? That's hard to believe
