Both Lightweight and Celestial Firework are mapped to Down B. Did you get one of them confused for another move?
Ah ah, I mean Superspeed for her Side B and Celestial Firework for Down B, not Lightweight.
Been playing through Melee again on my old Gamecube. Now I'm leaving it idle while bots fight so I can unlock Mewtwo. How exciting.

Also prepare for suckage because wow is Mewtwo bad.
the most disappointing childhood moment in melee was that my favorite pokemon was garbage when I finally unlocked him
Makes me glad that they seriously buffed him in Smash 4.
And it wasn't nearly as bad in Melee as it seemed, it has climbed quite a bit in the tier list.

For the challenger fight, I played as the CPU character in the first slot.
Get four controllers and make them human players. Just some time in my ignorant youth I thought it was a good idea to erase the data. I recently went back for old time's sake and to see what the fuss is all about with competitive. Also wow I didn't know about the 4 human player thing. Neat. I should've done that. When I booted up Melee for the first time in years, it felt fucking WEIRD after playing so much Brawl and Smash 4 since then. Like, incredibly weird. Hit detection and movement just felt so bizarre.
those games were fun postal. I gotta step up my rob game tho. using my nair way too much
excuse me but what the FUCK this game is a cruel teasing bitch and shortyish is CHEATIN
He got nudged off the ledge during getup while mashing jump (as indicated by the footstool), Yoshi turning around pushed him just far enough to fall Once you touch the ground after daze state initiates, and then leave it again by falling or misc blowback/stun, it overrides daze and your inputs are recognized again
And it wasn't nearly as bad in Melee as it seemed, it has climbed quite a bit in the tier list.
Bottom six is still pretty bad and he's still pretty awful either way in Melee.
All the facepunch smashpunch tournaments are now finished yeaaaaah. I'll probably do it all again come December. Shortyish has the most fucking obnoxious villager ever and if you want to see how agonizing smash can be, then ENJOY (and thx nidhogg for youtubing the matches!!)
So glad YouTube finally implemented 60fps videos so now you can see smash videos in their smooth delicious glory.
Where are the Knees, Postal? Up airs weren't putting in nearly as much work as a few knees would have.
bizzaro and kage are teaming up for melee doubles hype
bizzaro and kage are teaming up for melee doubles hype
oh man the dorf doubles
bizzaro and kage are teaming up for melee doubles hype
I can't decide if two Ganondorfs would make a great doubles team or a terrible one. I guess they can help each other recover?
Where are the Knees, Postal? Up airs weren't putting in nearly as much work as a few knees would have.
even if i wasn't already bad at landing those, villager is super tiny as is making that hard as fuck already. plus he can just nair me away if i tried. besides, grandfinals of a tournament with cash on the line isn't exactly the time and place to try risky/laggy shit like knees on a tiny character when up/back airs are way faster and safer lol.
[vid]http://puu.sh/j0iZB/e2d66b7320.mp4[/vid]
Daaangit, could anyone reup this? Got a friend who badly wants it but forgot to save it haha. Thanks ;)
You'd be surprised how situational the knee is in the average matchup. It's mostly against the big guys where it's easy to lean on for your kills (and practically expected of you)

It's difficult to land the knee in 4 comparitively, back air is a safe and good kill option for falcon

I think Zelda's down smash to dair spike might be the quickest and lowest percentage spike you can do reliably, but it relies on hitting her stupid sweet spot which seems to randomly change from the size of a single atom to a beachball
Had a moderate amount of success in a small customs-on tourney as 2312 Yoshi. Eventually had to go back to 2321 Charizard though, managed to get second place to a Rosa.
any ike players got advice for custom sets I should practice with? I'm working on my lowflying Quickdraw autocancels (which basically let's me attack out of the landing immediately and slide) ans I was wondering if either of his side b customs are any good for that, as far as I can tell no
I like Rosalina but her hits are extremely unsatisfying. I guess to compensate for the Luma nothing she does has any sort of satisfying impact to it. She's like the polar opposite of Ganondorf.
Also I have to say, good god, Lucario's customs (particularly the vacuum aura sphere and the long-range force palm) give him some ridiculous pressure at higher percentages. It's so hard to get in if you don't have a reflect/absorb move and he just spams vacuum spheres at different heights.
Up special is Villager's recovery if used in the air, but on the ground it's pumping up balloons to increase Balloon Fighter's recovery and aerials. Special is deploying a spark; if you hold up/down it'll circle up and down with the distance depending on how long you hold b + up/down after pressing special, same with left and right. Down special is deploying a flipper (like the Melee flipper). It'll deal light damage but it'll knock enemies a certain direction so it can do combos etc. Good aerials, not so good on the ground. Attacks for tilts/smashes could include pointed objects for popping balloons (like a pin), balloons bursting explosively, etc. He'd be sort of like Duck Hunt, but with elaborate trap set ups instead of combo shoots.
I think it'd be an interesting mechanic if a Balloon Fighter had multiple mid-air jumps based on balloon count (i.e. 1 base mid-air jump up to 7 mid-air jumps with 3 balloons which have like 30% or so health each, popping afterward when hit beyond that), with up B being him adding more balloons when grounded and gliding (but not gaining altitude) by flapping when in the air. Almost Brawl Meta-Knight-esque.
