Every time I see Rosalina I question why is she in this game
weird how you think rosalina is awful but think pac man is amazing, they're both incredibly boring to watch/play against. once you realize that all abadango is doing is throwing down the hydrant, charging the key, throwing, rinse and repeat its not really all that impressive or interesting
Once again, if the Luma didn't come back after being KOed, she would not be as obnoxious as she is.
Even maybe dropping Luma's HP on every KO as a penalty for being a bad mother.

Pacman has projectiles and is sort of like Snake in terms of stage control where fruit takes pretty significant understanding of the character. Rosalina just spams, camps, and has ways to deal with countering characters trying to break her camping, causing her to drag out matches forever with almost no thought process behind it.
Pacman could use some more versatility to make him more viable but so could over half of the cast, including Sheik. Rosalina's main perks are pretty much her whole moveset and none of it is enjoyable to play against or watch.
Today in underused characters, a summary

Imagine comparing someone like Pacman to Rosalina. Pacman requires a lot of setting up, timing and changing your patterns in order to catch the enemy off guard once they've adapted to your playstyle. And most importantly of all, he's an rare pick which naturally invokes more excitement and desire for them to win. He has so much stage setup potential with his trampoline, hydrant, and his various throwables that all have different patterns, some in which you can pick up mid-throw and do crazy mixups. All in which the Pacman was doing a lot of when the other player got through his defenses.
Rosalina is boring because she's so blatantly straight forward. Incredibly simple abilities with no lag behind any of them so there's no risk in doing anything. Even without Luma she's still able to hold her own easily and time goes by so fast for Luma to come back. At least Sheik has tons of different moves that are drastically different and is actually visually interesting, though I don't find her gameplay exciting at all.
I guess you probably thought Snake was boring in other games because all he does is throw grenades and set up C4's.
Oh man, watching Manny's Sonic is painful right now.
I feel bad for any player that has to deal with runaway fighters.
Yeah. This is pretty much why I dislike Sonic
Fight 2 of Ally vs Manny is reminding me a little too much of the staredowns of Brawl comp.
Literally running away
This is a fighting game, not a survival horror game
AHAHAHAHAHAA EAT IT SONIC
i gotta be honest i love watching Manny play. i would loathe fighting against him but making everybody hate him is an accomplishment and he's capitalizing on it
Mario wins by running away from Sonic. Oh the irony.
Haha timed out Sonic.
And then Mario wins thanks to running away.
I think that is the first time I'm happy someone won from running away, fuck Manny's Sonic.

This is a concept that is hard for me to understand.
Then again, Ally just made Manny eat his own medicine.
well that playstyle is what got manny that far
yo how many timeouts are we gonna have this tourney
was hoping Manny won, would've been hilarious
The irony

And part of a fighting game is using all resources available to your advantage
If you had the option to time someone out for a secure win, why not take that option?
Although he got bopped by the same strat he was employing

He's not suggesting not to take an option that exists, he's implying that the option shouldn't exist in the first place.
If only timing out had a penalty to it.
Then again, as much as it hurts, I cannot deny that it is a way to win, as lame as it is.

Fighting games are fighting games. Even in other fighting games with timers, it is possible to run the clock. But in those other fighting games there are some caveats, the only way to effectively run the clock is to keep your opponent away from you and backing up is typically slower than advancing forward. So in order to run the clock in most every other fighting game, it entails keeping faster-moving person that's bearing down on you away while your evasive options are less effective with your back to a wall.
The reason timers exist is to prevent players from stalling forever. If there were no timers, players would need to duke it out, but it'd make it incredibly boring to watch if two stalling-centric players face off.
That was an intense match.

He can do it, but I can also tell him he's a right bloody wanker for playing that way
Not to mention it's not fun to watch for anyone

Looks like Hbox's request got through. I wasn't expecting to feel emotional again so soon.

I thought they were gonna reveal a character for a moment there.
esam vs ally is so much fun to watch
I love these matches that swings back and forth.
Ness is kinda destined to lose this. Any time Ness will try to recover, Rosalina can just obsolete it.
