I would rather see everyone buffed to Sheik level than Sheik nerfed to everyone else's level. She's very solid, it's just that very few characters can really say they are good competitively like she is. Rosalina's Gravitational Pull just flat out needs to be retooled to be enjoyable at all, or make it have massive cooldown of some sort where she can't respond for two-five seconds with the same attack + making PK Thunder immune to it.

If Sheik is nerfed we'd already see much more variety during the later rounds in comp. WFT was only knocked out by a Sheik. Seriously we're looking at a Losers Semis with a Wario in it.

Nerfing Diddy made people go more to Sheik, already, by the time they actually balance the game by nerfing everyone deemed OP, they could just give everyone kill moves and make the game take less time to finish matches while making characters both more viable and more fun.

That's just going to be the cycle that occurs until the developers acknowledge the balance discrepency and tweak the entire cast. They'll eventually need to do another balance patch for future DLC characters and Ryu and Roy will likely dominate nearly as much as Sheik will once DLC is considered tourney legal yet people consider them fun to play as, so it's probably in their best interest to buff everyone to that level if they're creating Ryu and Roy's balance with the better characters in mind.

I really want them to take that approach too. I just can't really see it happening.
