Tryna play Palutena more, default setup. Any quick tips or strats? Grab, pummel, downthrow into Nair is all I got so far.
Palutena feels very underwhelming as a character. Default loadout, anyway.

I like playing as Palutena, but mainly just for her "Too bad for you" victory.

While down throw doesn't have a true combo that always works because of DI, you do almost always have a guaranteed follow up. If they DI towards you, the best follow up is uair, but nair also works but it's only worth using to unstale your upair. If they DI away, you can follow up with a fair. Both of these work at almost all percents and her upair is one of the best in the game because of its pressure and it's a great kill move, it's horribly unsafe if you land during it though but you can throw out a bair or fair before you land to lessen it. Her tilts are great for zoning, reading rolls, and edge guarding but last very long and you are bound to get punished if you just throw them out. Up close your jab is your best tool, but only the first hit. It comes out super fast, and is super safe. If you get good at the timing at it, you can do stuff like jab into grab, or jab into jab multiple times. I once got like 15 jab's in a row on someone because they kept trying to do anything other than shield :v. I have a replay showing off a really good edge guard, but I don't have time to upload it this weekend. I might next week though if anyone is interested.
Bomberman would be fucking dope
I don't think anybody is going to top Peach's "oh, did i win"'s levels of smug shit.
Funny enough in Melee the way that line is delivered makes it sound like she actually doesn't know if she's won or not. I guess between games she started to enjoy herself too much.

She isn't really feeling it I guess
All this talk of Rosalina being unfun to fight against makes me feel bad for thinking she's fun to play as.
Maybe she's fun to play as, but she isn't fun to play against.

I love when those projectile spammer players try to play a non-spammy character it's funny how hard they lose
Man, Lucas's down throw into up air is hella tight it's a good 20 damage, more than that if you get a good pummel in. Speaking of pummeling, I sure don't see other people doing them a lot. Usually I only see good players making use of it, but most of the time people seem to forget about free damage or are too concerned with them getting away before the throw.
People are used to fighting level 9 CPUs in training mode, who can't be pummeled more than once until they're above 60%

The faster pummels are either 1-2 damage, like Lucas. The slower ones like Palutena are 2-3.
Great.
is this the result of a whack hitbox or what
I see everyone tossing around the world "pummel" like some regular term like jab or tilt The hell is a pummel?
I see everyone tossing around the world "pummel" like some regular term like jab or tilt The hell is a pummel?
hitting your opponent while in a grab before actually tilting the control stick
Grab someone and mash button to pummel [editline]24th July 2015[/editline] pain is mandatory
is this the result of a whack hitbox or what
Sheik apparently has absolutely no pelvis hitbox during certain animations (or parts of animations) Most attacks will still hit but some very precise ones like Shulk's ftilt will go right through at the proper range
