Hell peeking over there now and even people upset admit that he's become a meme. I cannot believe the game's been out for about a year now and we're actually having Ridley 2.0 now.

Why does him being a meme completely discount him from being a character though? He's Donkey Kong's main antagonist, and is probably the only viable candidate for another DK character in Smash that isn't another ape/monkey.

I love his rendition in smash to bits but he feels so awkward to me due to being as faithful as he is. Also more I think on it I'd love if there was a Wonder Mask and that was the only thing that happened. It would fit the theme of the game 101% perfectly with anyone can be a hero.
