I'm convinced that the drop rate of new customs is rooted in how many customs you have for the character you're playing as. Hours upon hours of grinding to get customs yielded nothing with my go-to Classic Mode stomper: Ganondorf. Then I swap off to Lucas and suddenly I get 5 new customs right out of the gate. If anything, at least there was some good to come from the DLC characters not having custom moves.
Hey, if anyone's playing the new Project M 3.6 beta, looks like it has wi-fi support according to their twitter. My friend code is 1423-3405-2334 if anyone wants to play a few rounds.

Wow really? I saw it two minutes after it was posted and decided "nah, not worth the effort, it's probably taken already with that many people reading" I feel incredibly dumb now
It's just a costume code. Not like it was a fighter code. That would've been taken in a heartbeat.
Anyone who plays ganondorf here willing to teach me his ways?

I finally got my Gamecube Controller + Project M to work on Dolphin. I got goosebumps when I heard the menu theme for the first time. It works pretty well other than random freezing. Wish I could fix that because I really want to play more.
watching people complain about fox's changes in 3.6 is really satisfying to me somehow he only receives two changes, one being up-b landing lag increased if he lands during the median state between his firefox and special fall, the other being a mostly useless nerf to his shine that prevents him from shinespiking at 0%. yet for some reason those changes are enough for some people like m2k to say that fox is a completely different character now. i was talking to one person about fox some weeks ago and he said(and i quote) that fox shouldn't be changed because he acts as a final boss and requires everyone to adapt and grow their character's gameplay to beat him. im starting to realize that people will often justify things with the most outrageous reasoning just to keep the status quo
Anyone who plays ganondorf here willing to teach me his ways?
he hits like a truck use that to your advantage his side B to down A combo has been patched out a good replacement is to jump after Side B jump and either neutral A in midair or down B in midair racks up some nice damage. Also Down air is good for a number of situations he also has a very reliable dash attack

If PM introduced a character with a move that comes out on frame 1, semispikes, gives a frame of intangiability, reflects projectiles AND gives them damage, can be cancelled immediately and racks up damage rapidly, they would have been viewed as insane because of how broken such a mechanic is. (Even with the nerfs it has, it's still really good) It's amazing that so many people justify keeping Fox the way he was when PM3.0 was the realization point that balancing around Melee Fox is incredibly ridiculous and is why 3.5 had to tone so much down.
Not that it makes your point less valid but there's a bit of lag after you hit someone with a shine, it's not instant.
You can cancel immediately into a jump in Melee. In addition, due to the mechanics of jumping having a buffer to check to make sure you were not actually meaning to do a tilt/smash, you can cancel this jump out of a cancel of a reflector in order to start a new grounded attack almost immediately or do the cycle again to multishine. Alternatively, you can wavedash using the jump cancelling of the shine to move forward almost immediately afterward.
Side B to down A was never a combo, you could tech out of it.
it is easier then ever to get out of it now though
when playing ganondorf you gotta be patient because your mobility is shit. use pivot ftilts and fsmashes to read out rolls. learn the range of your jab and other normals; he has more than you'd expect. side b can be combod if you can predict where your opponent is going to go. a lot of people will roll back or get up attack if they miss the tech. if they get up attack from it consistently, a fullhop down b is an excellent punish tool. if they roll back, a grounded down b or a dash chase side b works wonders. [editline]25th June 2015[/editline] also a neat trick is baiting people with your upsmash. it has a deceptively short cool down (shorter than the cool down animation) which throws people off. don't rely on it too much h but it can net you some free damage if they fall for it [editline]25th June 2015[/editline] also I'd recommend learning the timing of his uptilt, which while usually useless and generally just for style can be a really good edge guarding tool
His uptilt can take the tide of a fight and completely turn it around. Breaks shield 100% of the time, has a significantly bigger range than it appears to, and can KO as low as 30% on some characters.
Wow really? Even your jab chips off like 20% of it. Fear is a powerful weapon in Ganon's arsenal. The fear of a fatal punish. Use it.
also his uair is super good for gimping

Half of those didn't really make sense to me. "You're breaking the law" and random DIO stuff stick out.
In addition, due to the mechanics of jumping having a buffer to check to make sure you were not actually meaning to do a tilt/smash, you can cancel this jump out of a cancel of a reflector in order to start a new grounded attack almost immediately
you're talking about melee right? cause there isn't a buffer period to do grounded attacks from a jump in melee, every characters jump has a specific amount of frames until you leave the ground, which you can cancel into specific things (mainly grab, upsmash, or up b) don't know about PM though.
Half of those didn't really make sense to me. "You're breaking the law" and random DIO stuff stick out.
this is Unfuny SSB Montage season dude, and it won't get any better with the "Upload to Youtube" feature :v:
