yeah I know, he really didn't capitalize on my openings at all, wide as they were
still, you didn't use ike's more unsafe moves often and that's pretty good
i'd probs be better if i wasn't stuck to a 3ds, though. misinputs all over

King Dedede is the most fun character to play as, aside from stomping absolute shit. He's the insanely perfect combination of slow tank with unbelievable recovery. Barely anyone I fight really knows how to handle him properly.

Near everything Ike can do except just stand in place like an idiot will hurl your gordo right back at you at major league pitching speeds

when i used to main dedede the main way i landed hits was by trying to force them into shield with gordo's and go for dashgrabs, or pivot f-tilt to punish their approaches. gordo's are kind of a shit projectile though if your opponent knows what he's doing. you've gotta mixup the trajectory a lot and be as unpredictable as you can with them.

just crouch. Lounging is key.
some people will also try to punish you at the ledge when your invincibility runs out and you can counter that by dropping and up-airing through the ledge sometimes, dedede's up air has solid range

I wonder what would have happened if Melee had tried to promote a different Fire Emblem game besides Roy's one. It'd be interesting to get Eirika as a stab-focused fencer. That'd be a character where the tipper would make a lot of sense. Or Ephraim. We have plenty of sword guys, why not just one spear or axe user?
yeah roy is only in because he made for an easy clone but it'd be neat
