This might just be because I suck, but does anyone else find it hard to hit your opponent when playing as Greninja? He feels really clunky to me.

Okay, but don't be surprised if we're both still at 0% 5 minutes into the match.
WOOOOOOOOOOO i got first at my project M tournament. didn't drop a set but jESUS that shit got intense. [editline]13th August 2015[/editline] then afterwards i heard someone way "yeah i'd get first too if i played a character that took no skill to play" but i also beat them 2-0
Who did you even play?
Master Hand
Who did you even play?
Some people tend to always roll their eyes at Fox. And I remember Lunchables or someone else making a stink about ROB lately (even though he was unchanged lol).
Who did you even play?
Wolf [editline]13th August 2015[/editline] he's generally regarded as being one of the better characters in PM, but i started playing him a while back because he's just a ton of fun

Is he actually that good to the point where people have to refer him as "no skill to play"?
Yeah Wolf is great fun in PM. Is he actually that good to the point where people have to refer him as "no skill to play"?
no they were just salty. i would say spending 5 months practicing him and fundamentals counts as skill.
I thought it was a general rule (for most characters) to never give up middle stage. Don't throw away your stage control just to run and hide from the invuln opponent either!
Villagers and some zoning characters like to cling to that edge like their life depends on it. Villagers tend to believe that if they don't have a Lloid missile on screen at all times they'll be disqualified from the match, and spend most of their time leaping off the edge and spamming the slingshot. Best way to have fun with an edgehog, particularly if they aren't playing a ranged character or you have a reflector: stand in the middle of the stage and stay stock still and see how long it takes for them to leave the edge. My record with one opponent was 40 seconds and they retreated back to their corner pretty quickly afterwards.

Yay, I finally achieved 1000 more kills than deaths as Lucina. Not that it's really an important stat, but it's cool to know I've gotten better at fighting the lag beasts.

I'm incredibly late but I've finally got into this game. Been maining Lucina and Zelda and damn its fun. Also fuck you Sonic. Had a For Glory game (wanted to see how badly I got rekt) against a Sonic and all he would do is jump, shit springs onto your head and then run off. This went on for sooooooo long because everytime I got near him, he would bound away before zooming back to hit me once. By the time I had reacted, he was back to shitting springs.
people still use johns like that non-sarcastically in 2015?
people will always use johns like that until the end of time [editline]14th August 2015[/editline]
I'm incredibly late but I've finally got into this game. It's starting to get grating that 70% of the people I fight have a list of characters that they are hellbent on not fighting regardless of whether they win or lose. Attempting to get more than one match against somebody with ZSS or Rosalina or Little Mac or whatever results in people running like their asses are on fire. And I rarely even win with with ZSS and Mac. [editline]14th August 2015[/editline] I don't think I've seen a single Shulk in For Glory in at least a month.
I try to make a habit of fighting the annoying characters until I understand their weaknesses. matchup knowledge is power [editline]14th August 2015[/editline] I still struggle against sonic tho, because 90% of the sonic practice I get is side b upair side b upair up b rinse repeat garbage last tourney I went to I fought a dude who actually put work into sonic and it showed. I didn't do horrible against him but it was clear I was fighting him somewhat blind.

I fought a marth player who literally did almost nothing but spotdodge --> down smash me. I adapted and just starting running at him and doing charged up smashes and he absolutely couldn't cope. Fucking hell some of the people on there are hopeless.
[vid]http://giant.gfycat.com/BitterPrestigiousBasenji.webm[/vid]
It's cool to see people using footstools more. It's a neat mechanic that can really help in gettting some actual combos in this game.
Anyone got any tips for Meta Knight? I want to be able to play another character other than ROB, and I like Meta Knight a ton so I want to get good with him.
Anyone got any tips for Meta Knight? I want to be able to play another character other than ROB, and I like Meta Knight a ton so I want to get good with him.
Meta Knight lacks lag in many of his moves so you could get away with pretty much anything. Can't really say much else since I never played him, but this video should help.
You can go really deep offstage for gimps and still be perfectly safe. A good Meta Knight can shut a lot of characters down once he's got them offstage.
Anyone got any tips for Meta Knight? I want to be able to play another character other than ROB, and I like Meta Knight a ton so I want to get good with him.
Don't be that guy who spins off stage. [sp]me[/sp]
Anyone got any tips for Meta Knight? I want to be able to play another character other than ROB, and I like Meta Knight a ton so I want to get good with him.
meta knight's punish game can quickly turn a match into his favour, his dash attack and dthrow are excellent combo starters. once you pop them in the air, the conversion is simple: juggle them in the air with uairs using all your jumps and then upb. if the blastzone is near enough, the combo should seal the stock (meta knight shines on low-ceiling stages such as dreamland 64 or town and city). your neutral game is very limited so use your multiple jumps and speed to position yourself for an optimal punish.
[editline]14th August 2015[/editline] EU Zelda main? fite me!
Yeah...I suck though. I'm guessing I'd end up getting my ass handed to me.
I've been playing Bowser Jr since the 3DS version came out and I only now figured out (by accident) you can do aerials out of his side-B While I am clearly the biggest idiot ever, playing him finally feels like less of an uphill battle now. Had no idea how much tech he's got.
