Funny that you say that, since it actually samples the Game Boy Wario Land game instruments for the "Wahhh" sound in the background. The bells are a peculiar choice though, I agree, but they feel like they work somehow with the stage's feel, at least.

There isn't really any winners iirc; they're just gauging popularity. Just because a character is in the top 3 doesn't mean they'll get in, it just means they'll have a better chance.

You know, I'm not sure that's a fair comparison. Sure, I agree that in general the Brawl palette was washed out, but the link in Brawl is more or less accurate to the Link in Twilight Princess, which had tried to go for a more gritty, realistic aesthetic. That means a tunic and breeches that had faded in the sun.

Fox looks a lot better than Melee than he does in Brawl, or even Smash 4. He looked so much cooler back then.

I like Melee Fox because he actually looks like a fox while in Brawl and Smash 4 his snout is shaped more like a duck bill.
