And I'd probably choose for removing WFT just for the fact I never use nor see anyone use her. Besides her side B she has nothing interesting going for her and is just an even lamer Shiek.

Doc Louis as a heavy mac clone, replaces dark pit. He's stronger and slower but at least his aerials don't suck and he's decent in the air
I think the reason most people don't think Layton should be in is because it would be very difficult to make a moveset based around the puzzle- and/or mystery-solving he's known for. Perhaps I'm not thinking creatively enough, but I don't much see what his moveset could be like apart from maybe throwing hint coins at people and using moving blocks from those annoying sliding puzzles. People always bring up the sword-fighting and the [URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlSj74equS0"]coin gun he made from a slot machine[/URL], but those are just things that happened one time in a cutscene and never happened again. (As far as I know anyway, I only played the first three so I don't know if maybe the sword-fighting came up again.) His moveset should, as far as possible, use things that encompass the series as a whole like the aforementioned hint coins and sliding puzzles, not one-off things that the player doesn't even control.
That's always seemed like the main reason to me, anyway. There are others, of course, such as him being a third-party character who isn't really very iconic of gaming. Personally, I don't think I'd really mind him getting in, I just don't think it'd ever happen.

KO punch, as well as the rest of Little Mac's kit, is awful in the air. Pair with that the fact that KO punch doesn't do very much at low percents and you get what happened there.

I remember the first time an air ko punch hit me like that, I never went from a state of despair to joy so quickly as I watched the mac fall to his death from the endlag while I barely moved at all.
What baffles me the most is why he used his KO punch when he could have easily recovered.
Also the fact that the ship goes right through him when I tossed it into his jab.
