I spent way too long editing this and it came out awful.
Oh well.

This actually gives me an idea, why don't they make mac's ko punch help him recover when he's in the air?
Think about it, it charges when he takes damage, it's usually full when he's knocked off the stage, and it hardly does any damage when he's air, so maybe it could function as a better recovery than his forward b or up b?
Like he'd do an uppercut into the air like mario or ryu, and he'd get a second chance. This balances out because little mac doesn't always have the ko meter full when he's knocked off the stage, and he gets ko'd really fast.
Personally I could see it being a really huge buff for him, but then again I can see why other people wouldn't like it.

I wouldn't mind at all. It's sounds a lot like the Wario Waft. The KO Punch can only be obtained so many times. Unlike the Waft, the KO Punch is limited. It's not stored forever. So I would not mind giving a limited-time super recovery to Mac since it gives a new use to the KO Punch. Weak in the air but allows for a nice safe air boost.
speaking of the ko punch, is there any benefit whatsoever to it having a windbox? because they claim to have fixed the wind whiff bug but it's still there and it's annoying as hell when it happens
The KO recovery would literally be Meta Knights drill only it's Little mac tilted to the side and spinning rapidly
KO Punch when used in the air could instead become a weak-hitting recovery move called the "Little Smack".
I would play Mac more if it wasn't for the knowledge that one grab and it's all over.
Only if you're bad. Mac has the best wall-jump in the game. Depending on the stage, he can go over-100% throws and still manage to recover.
If there's one thing that's certain about Omega stages, it's that the minor differences will without fail conspire to screw you over.
I have seen little macs use KO punch to recover in tournaments. It gives you lots of forward momentum.
Street Fighter IV has that Turkish? dude who gets better when he uses his oil on himself right? Maybe an Inkling would work like that but with spraying ink around her/him instead.
Special attacks leave ink on the stage, and movement speed / power increase while standing in ink of their own color. Fades after a short while however, so constant re-application is needed.
What's the general consensus of Olimar?
I just made a ZSS rage quit on for glory, and now I kinda feel bad. He's super fun to play, though.
Don't feel bad for making someone rq. It's not your fault.

Especially not with Olimar. I have no idea how to play him at all, he's too weird.
Olimar was one of my favourites to play as in brawl but for some reason I just can't play well with him in 4. Something just feels off to me.
Since I started practicing samus, people have been rage quitting my games more often. I dont even use missiles that much but people seem to rage quit after I take the first stock.
Either that or they switch to fox/link/toonlink.
If you make someone ragequit and are not using one of the usual suspects for hate (Sonic, Rosalina, etc.) then don't feel bad, especially if they're using one of said suspects.
I'm playing against a guy that can jab into grab and do a hoo haa with Dedede
It's infurating
at least it's the 3ds version so he can't shit talk me with names
Why is Sonic not helpless after using his recovery? It's pure bullshit that I can't punish it because he can still use aerials.
I don't really get, from a gameplay standpoint, why Brawl arbitrarily made some recoveries enter freefall and others not, it's not like Sonic's, Snake's, R.O.B. or Game & Watch's were particularly bad anyway.
If Smash 4 was going to allow some to act out of recovery and have others manage to boot people off ledges while "helpless", they should have went either with making everyone go into freefall or, potentially more interestingly, make everyone not have freefall.

Same reason Game & Watch and R.O.B. aren't.
It's so some characters have different aerial approach and followups than some other characters. Variation.

I mean, sure as an offensive option it makes sense because it allows characters to chase others into the air, but as a recovery it kind-of goes against the rest of the game's mechanics.
that's how I feel aetherciding people on last stock

His pikmin ai is shit in this game.
Like there can be a pikmin standing RIGHT next to me and for some reason it doesn't come out during the smash attack.
Also he doesn't have that whip attack anymore so you can't snipe people out of the sky anymore.
But my biggest problem is the pikmin ai, it hardly works for me. I still try to play Olimar as much as I can because pikmin is my favorite series of all time but it gets hard when he feels like a chore to play sometimes. (I'm still pretty good with him though.)
