I'd feel a lot better about character chances if we had any idea how many characters Sakurai is willing to make as a result of the ballot. I just really want Shantae in...plus WayForward are awesome guys, it would mean the world to them.
Putting an indie character in Smash would bring in all the big indie devs to their consoles

Zero really has to learn the critical life lesson of "never give an opinion when you're upset"
I wonder what people are wondering in ZeRo's next video.

this is competitive smash 4??? wow one guy isn't even trying, so boring

cool as hell but I don't see it meaning much considering the momentum glitch stops once you walk, dash, turn around, or jump
Call it Pac-Landing.
cool as hell but I don't see it meaning much considering the momentum glitch stops once you walk, dash, turn around, or jump
Could be abused at the start of a stock since rolling does not break it.
And IIRC if you launch your hydrant and do it (putting you slightly ahead of it), and then immediately grab out of it, your opponent can't avoid taking the hydrant to the face
The only thing I really fear about Shovel Knight being in is that they likely wouldn't give him a moveset that serves him justice aside from the obvious choice of down air. I really hope they talk to Yacht Club about how to make it work and don't try to bruteforce a unique-yet-unrelated-to-his-personality moveset like they did with Little Mac.
I mean, his moveset seems kinda cut-and-dry to me, just do it like Mega Man: A- Dig (generates a shinespark when at 0%) Dair- Pogo Shovel B- Shovel Slash (can charge for increased damage, reach, and knockback) Side B- Fireball Wand Up B- Propeller Dagger Down B- Phase Locket Counter And then you can have his various other moves (Jab Combos, Smash Attacks, Tilts, etc.) incorporate his other items and powers and whatnot (for example, F Air could be a spike involving the Anchor). Taunts can be stuff like the victory pose, drinking from a Troupple Chalice (which is an item that could be made into an entire move/mechanic if they wanted), resting at a campfire, etc. And the Final Smash would obviously be some sort of tag team goodness with Shield Knight. If they put as much work in on any newcomers as they did on Ryu, we're in for some really fun additions.
no god pls no not another fucking counter pls. Counters are boring.
I think his final smash should be digging the opponent's grave.
Down B could be the War Horn, pushes enemies away and maybe even reflects projectiles
I really wish that when your opponent drops out it didn't dump a punching bag AI and go "no no he's totally still here look you're winning isn't that great" Just end the match and don't waste my time.

One time I was playing a guy that was really aggressive, I hit him with dedede's fsmash full charged and killed him. Rest of the match he settled down, just walked around and didn't dodge. Just level 1 CPU stuff and I killed it in a instant. Mashed through the match over screen and he was viewing the results before quickly leaving. Was he trying to pretend he disconnected or something and wanting to slip away?

I honestly don't know, it was the first time I've ever seen something like that and wasn't really sure what to make of it. Sometimes people (myself included) will just kinda give up if something really stupid happens and not play my best because I'm flustered, but refusing to dodge, just throwing out like a single neutral a and not even really trying to recover before leaving in a hurry was entirely new.
So why is Dr. Mario considered really bad? Is it because he loses FLUDD?
So why is Dr. Mario considered really bad? Is it because he loses FLUDD?
Very poor recovery from what I recall. Mario is overall better anyways, so people tend to ignore the Dr since they have very similar movesets.
He loses Mario's combo game and recovery for a mediocre power increase. Pills are also not nearly as good as they were in Melee
unseen64 has never lied, so why would he do it now?
