It's not uncommon at all for players to do that instead of straight SD'ing. SD'ing is completely giving up, and it would probably just make you feel worse in some situations if you're already feeling negative. You may notice similar things happen if you've ever watched like M2K play when he's feeling really down at a tournament, you can tell when he's just not giving his all anymore because he believes he is going to lose.

So the chances of him coming back are nearly impossible unless they had something planned since before Kojima was leaving Konami.

Or Shantae.

Imagine a special indies series, which instead of unlocking stuff in other games (which they still would), they contain a full copy of that game you can scan to play.

What has the most weight is that the unseen64 guy claims his source is trustworthy, and I doubt he would say so if he wasn't 100% sure this won't backfire on him. Besides, PAX is today/tomorrow so it makes sense for people in the videogame industry to hear (and tell) about the announcement today. I don't think a trusted source leaking stuff has ever turned out to be fake, so I would call legit on that one. Shovel Knight in Smash opens the door to so much more.

I'm going to be brutally honest here, I hope it's not Shovel Knight now just because of all this. I'm fucking tired of every single release getting spoiled, we just can't have 1 surprise now can we? I'm going to be happy if it turns out to be true but man all the rumors and leaks before character releases is lame as fuck.

Don't get me wrong, SK would be a neat character, but I'd rather have a non-guest character as a completely new character first.

Yeah it's a good game but it's not the end all be all indie masterpiece a lot of people tout it as. I won't be pissed if he's in Smash 4 but I will think that there could have been better choices for indie reps, if there even needed to be an indie rep to begin with.

I'd be fine with a DLC pack containing Mii Costumes, a Stage, and regular trophies for indie games but anything beyond that seems excessive. Third parties at this point have represented gaming as a whole, whereas this just seems to be giving attention and support towards the indie gaming scene.

I finally took his first stock while I was on my last with 90% damage. I still managed to eek out a victory. people need to learn that comebacks are entirely possible, and the only way to really ensure that they'll lose is by giving up
