The first two got exclusive bosses but that hardly sizes up to co-op.

Three days ago it was Layton and now it's Shovel Knight. Previously it was Shantae, tomorrow it will be someone else.

The Shovel Knight thing has far more evidence than any of the other characters. Not saying it'll happen but this is an exception to those other situations. People who kept believing the IMBd shit were literally setting themselves up for disappointment and goes to show the same thing can keep happening and people will [I]still [/I]believe it.

There is smoke here to the current rumor.

I'm not saying you're wrong. What I'm saying is you shouldn't count on being right about it either, because that will make all this speculation feel like a massive waste if it turns out false. And really, speculating new content because of maintenance is a pretty drastic regression in reasoning.

Despite how I seem I don't genuinely like people building themselves up just to get stricken down. Shovel Knight is a good character and I [i]honestly[/i] wouldn't mind him in smash if he got confirmed, but there were literally no screenshots given to this rumor. None of the few people claiming it said there were, just "someone sent us nice sounding movelists and said there was an amiibo" and that was it. For the guys at Yacht Club Games this was a megaton any way you look at it- a western made indie game is getting a amiibo. Official Nintendo produced merch. That's [b]STUPID[/b] huge, even if the amiibo itself doesn't do a whole lot in the grand scheme of things- what we see with this is one of the biggest, if not the biggest devs in the world stretch out a arm in good faith to a competent small dev team. It doesn't have to be more than that because it's already pretty amazing. Despite this, Shovel Knight will not get a second amiibo, not even LINK has a second amiibo yet, Nintendo is footing the bill on making these things and I don't think they're going to put [i]that[/i] much faith right out the bat. Fans of Shovel Knight like myself instead of spamming "this isn't good enough because he's not smash" should instead probably be happy because could you imagine what it would mean if Nintendo actually took Yacht Club on board for more of their games and helped give them bigger budgets for stuff? It's really really good news all around.
